He is always calm and collected, processing the situation several steps ahead. He has been called the perfect soldier on countless occasions, doing what needs to be done without batting an eye. HISTORY
Maki was born a nobody. He had no surname, he had no family. He was just an orphan in the streets of Iwagakure, struggling to survive. Needless to say, life was hard, always having to finesse his way into a meal because he couldn't afford one. He had thought that petty theft and begging would be all he would have to live for until the reigning Tsuchikage had passed a law that forced everyone to become ninja when he was eight years old. Maki had never thought it possible for him to become one, but all of a sudden he had no choice. Many people were not pleased with the rule, but for him, it was an opportunity to change his life. So he joined the academy with the ideals of becoming the best he could be.
Maki breezed through the academy, always being the one to pay the most attention. He learned the most and raised his hand for every question. He others would have picked on him for it, but they soon realized that they couldn't beat him. Not with his constant training after school that kept him on top. They had to go home and deal with there families. The training grounds became his home. And so his weakness became his strength. By the time he graduated, he was the top student in his class, not only able to use basic techniques but he had the ability to use three elements as well. Him. Some lowly street rat.
Not long after he graduated to genin, the Tsuchikage's law for everyone to become ninja was rescinded. Maki didn't know why, but was happy that he managed to make it before they stopped. He knew that he was always able to become a ninja if he wished despite his background, but he knew that he had always lacked the confidence to go on his own. And for that, he felt that he owed the great man known as Raidon Ebisawa. And so, he vowed to someday serve under him personally and protect the man from any harm.
Chunin rank came easily, and along with it the abilities that had lied dormant within him. He had made quite a name for himself in the final rounds as the kid that could use magnet release. It was unrefined, but he had managed to figure it out enough to make a difference in battle. This was when he finally caught the eye of the Tsuchikage. The man took him on and began to train him, teaching him techniques that were only awarded to the best. Maki was more than grateful, continuously striving to grow until he made jounin rank at 15.
By the time he was eighteen, he had become a valuable asset to the village, known by many names. Some loved him. Others were wary of him because of his loyalty to their ruler. He lived like this until a year ago. He was sent on a mission to lead a platoon to Kusa, but when he returned his sensei was dead. He had been assassinated and his daughter chosen to be the next Tsuchikage. Maki silently grieved the man and swore to now protect his daughter with his life, becoming her advisor to stay close.
RP SAMPLE
There was a saying that the speed force could be many things. For those who did wrong by it, it was hell. A prison of one's unwanted memories and worst nightmares. But to others, the friends of the force, it could be compared to heaven. A world of light and images. Images of not only their lives, but the lives of others. Loved ones, those that were lost, the speed force could be as pleasant as it was cruel. But whether is was pleasant or not, the Speed Force was a prison. A place that you could not leave freely once you have had your fill.
And that is what Wally had to deal with throughout his stay there. But in his experience, he wasn't sure if he was on the good side or the bad side of the speed force. Sometimes, he was allowed to see Barry, Bart, and even Jay. And not just their current selves, but their pasts too. Sometimes their futures. Good and bad. Or at least fragments of everything. It was like one big puzzle that he could never put together. Especially when he also got glimpses of people he had never met before. He had no idea who they were but he knew that they were speedsters.
It started as small pieces. Smaller than his hand. They popped up for a few seconds at a time. He had no idea what they were. And quite frankly, he didn't care. He ran from them, as he ran towards freedom. He didn't deserve to be stuck in the speed force. All he did was save everyone. But he couldn't blame anyone but himself. It wasn't what he did, it was who he was. He was Wally West, and when it came to being a speedster, Wally West wasn't fast enough.
And when he accepted this, the fragments began to become clearer. They lasted a little longer. He still had trouble understanding what they meant, but the more he looked at them, the more he understood that they were speedsters. It was just like the movies that he and Barry used to watch on their downtime. Shorter, and not as entertaining, but movies all the same. So thats what he did. Not necessarily learning anything, but looking at things to make the time go by.
But then, seemingly out of nowhere, he was able to feel something he had not felt before. It had been when he was looking at images of Barry that a link had formed. Something that he could not see but he just knew it was there. It led him and he followed willingly just knowing that it was his way out. It was like he could feel what the man was feeling, and it became the anchor to a world that he thought he had lost long ago.
So he ran, just like he had always done. But this time he had a destination. Barry Allen. The more he ran the closer he felt, until he literally saw him at the end of a tunnel of light. And thats when he pushed himself harder than he ever had before. He pushed through the light, he pushed through the images, and finally broke through. Filled with joy and excitement, he just let go, landing on top of his uncle.
