YURI IKARI
"I'm not here to like you, and you're not here to like me."
22 | FEMALE |
JOUNIN | SUNAGAKURE |
APPEARANCE
Yuri is a fairly tall woman who stands at one hundred and seventy five centimeters and weighs around sixty-one kilograms. She has a curvaceous build with a light complexion to compliment, She has long blonde hair that's tied into a ponytail with dark blue eyes. Her her is long enough to touch a few centimeters below her knees. For her outfit, she has the appearance of a soldier. Yuri wears a long, sleeveless white shirt with yellow and blue rims and dark blue shorts. She also wears a long sleeved fingerless glove that matches the color of her shorts. Yuri has on a belt that carries various amount of projectiles with combat boots. Yuri then wears a knee high stocking on her right leg.
PERSONALITY
Yuri, for the most part, is a very reserved woman. Yuri essentially keeps to herself and herself only. She gives off the impression that she's shy, which she thinks is far from the case. Her assault when she was a genin traumatized her to the point where she could barely communicate in a casual manner. Some would think she's a mute because she barely utters a singe word. Yuri has grown hatred to people, but accepts the awful fact that she has to live with them, and work with them. She keeps her circle from tiny to nonexistent. That doesn't mean she can't cooperate or rebels against orders. Yuri knows when to help and be supportive, but that's only for anything work related. Sure, she'll mutter a few words outside of work but other than that she'd just try to get away as far as possible... unless the person is worth talking to.
But there's more to her than just being a quiet little mouse. Yuri is a very shameless woman who loves to take danger head on. She loves the thrill of fighting and even getting kills. She lives for the adventures and embraces the adrenaline rushing through her body. Yuri enjoys action with a fiery passion and the blood of her enemies splattering all over the ground. Whenever she's in battle, there's no such thing as limits or rules. She fights until she can't feel her body anymore. Now, it isn't literal that she doesn't know when to stop if she gets carried away. She has the common sense to know when to stop her brutal violence, but it can't be helped. Yuri is just a born fighter.
Yuri is a very strict woman when it comes to her job. There is no time for games when it comes to doing her job and/or doing serious mission. If she wants answers and she isn't getting them, she doesn't mind getting her hands dirty. She has no time for bullshit and will have ways of getting time wasted brought back to her. Yuri can confirm that she is a very patient woman, but playing and toying with her is an exception to her definite patience. However when she isn't doing any actual serious business or missions, she's a lot more relaxed and laid back despite her threatening and intimidating demeanor.
This woman is known to be a very dominant woman. She's a dominatrix, she takes things into her own hands if no one steps up as leader. She has the traits of a strong-willed and determined leader: bold, loyal, neutral, logical, etc. Her boldness, her bluntness, her ability to call other people out without hesitation is a talent to her. Yuri also has traits of what makes her a feared leader: aggressive, threatening, apathetic, and ruthless. She's all about winning and she does whatever she can to become one, along with anyone who sides with her. She enjoys barking orders and scolding at those who go their own way, but she's also extremely cooperative. That is, if the person themselves is cooperative or has strong traits of being a leader.
Deep down past her rough image, Yuri is a very emotional woman. She won't say her image is all an act, but rather she's afraid to show her soft and sympathetic side. She plays it off well, but if she feels like she can't take it, she'll go to a secluded area to cry her eyes out.To her, Yuri feels like it makes her weak and she feels like that isn't who she is. She's caring of course, but she doesn't see herself as being the soft type. Trust was something that's been toyed around with, hence why she has trouble putting in her full trust among certain people. It's also why she has to have backup plans. Trust can be manipulated, but can never be taken word for word in her book, especially after her getting assaulted when she was a genin.

HISTORY
Yuri was born in what was once labeled as a barbaric clan filled with bandits who used the affinity earth to their benefit for monstrous strength. Of course there are a few members of the clan who doesn't have earth as their primary nature, let alone not having it at all. While it is a rarity nonetheless, Yuri was one of the members who didn’t have access to the Ikari bloodline. Not that she was considered an outcast because of it, but rather she was most likely seen as weak by other clan members, even her own parents. Despite that, she was still showed affection and care from her parents.
Despite having monstrous strength, it’s remembered that the clan was primarily bandits at first who had plotted to take over Iwagakure as their own territory. Because of that, it was expected that the Tsuchikage would feel slight distrust from the clan, believing that they would plot to overrule him. As they weren’t exactly punished from their history (although the likelihood of it was mostly high), they were still seen as a threat who should be observed carefully. However, the clan was praised nonetheless for their inhuman strength. To say the least, the relationship between the clan and the Tsuchikage was mixed.
Blessed by the gods, Yuri's parents managed to slip under the Tsuchikage's radar by escaping Iwagakure and migrating to Sunagakure when Yuri was only one years old. Sunagakure was the only neighboring country close to Iwagakure where they would cross the borders and seek citizenship for Sunagakure. Her parents did not want Yuri to grow up under a dictatorship and wanted her to live a better life. It was not only Yuri who deserved a better life, but also her parents who also thought that they too need to live better so they can support their only daughter. Thankfully enough, Yuri and her parents eventually gained citizenship after migrating to Sunagakure, though the process was long and troublesome.
Just a year after moving to Sunagakure Yuri was chosen to become the host of the seven tailed beast, much to her parents’ dismay. Nonetheless, the biju was sealed into the little girl. Being only two years old, Yuri knew nothing about tailed beasts nor knew how to process the situation. Yuri couldn’t exactly remember much when Chomei was sealed into her, but the later years as she grew up with the tailed beast inside of her, visible changes started to erupt.
Yuri was ridiculed for having a tailed beast inside of her in her academy days. However, Yuri took negativity well into her own hands. She even decided to make jokes out of it just to protect herself from breaking down into cheers. To her, the only way to deal with pain is to laugh at it. It was a saying her father always says to Yuri, however actually laughing at pain did strike as odd to the young girl. Nonetheless, she managed to grow her circle a little, knowing that her fellow students knew she was able to take these types of insults as just mere, “harmless” jokes. What also helped was Chomei’s easy going persona that merged into Yuri’s always cheery attitude. Though, this was something she had yet to realize.
Harassment and insults, while seen as jokes, were just fuel added to the fire of Yuri snapping.
She could remember it as if it were yesterday. It was just a week after she graduated the academy and became a genin. She was confronted by a group of genin within the training grounds, where it was just her and the group of genin at the time. There were at least four of them, whom of which decided to “poke a little fun at her”. The group of genin saw Yuri as a freak because of Chomei sealed inside of her. They began to assault her, kicking and punching her as much as they could as if they were beating her to death.
Yuri was defenseless, and it was her and her alone versus four other genin around her age. She felt as if this was the end for her, knowing that she’ll die on being the ridiculed child and feared genin with the seven tails sealed inside her. Yuri, at the point, was willing to accept her fate. The pain she was experiencing, the pain that her father told her to laugh at, she couldn’t do it. She couldn’t laugh. She was crying and begging for the genin to leave her alone, but they didn’t listen. Instead, they continued to senselessly beat up Yuri until she stopped crying.
The rest was a blur as Yuri blacked out, but it wasn’t so hard to figure out what happened as soon as she woke up. When she woke up, all of her wounds were healed and her bleeding stopped. However, she noticed that blood was on her hands, and some on her face. As she looked around, that’s when Yuri showed true terror on her face. All of the genin were dead. Slaughtered. Their blood seeped into the ground, some puddles still being fresh. Yuri had no clue on how long she passed out nor knew what happened. Looking back at it now, Yuri realized one thing:
Chomei. He helped her… somehow. She must’ve gotten into some sort of transformation (what was later known as her initial transformation) and managed to singlehandedly kill the genin. Yuri didn’t know how to feel. She didn’t know whether to be happy that she was still alive or to feel terrified that she actually took four lives. Either way, Yuri knew that she was in deep trouble if someone found out about what she did. The only option to take was to stay low and leave no evidence behind. She was only lucky enough to come up with the excuse that someone assaulted her and the group of genin while they were in the middle of a training session.
By the time Yuri became a chunin, became more distant from other people. She would only exchange only a few words before she would go back to her business. The incident of her nearly dying from the hands of the four genin marked her like a scar. It was an incident she'd never forget. Gathering the other times where she was feared and ridiculed of her being the host of Chomei only worsened her self-esteem.
Yuri hated people. They couldn't be trusted. Though, she would be grateful hadn't her parents moved away from Iwagakure. However, with the treatment she received from other people of Sunagakure, she could say her argument of hating people would be strong. The only two people she trusted were her parents, and only her parents. She wouldn't go as far as to tell them what happened back at the training grounds, but they were the only ones that took care of her and shower her with love, therefore it was natural for Yuri to put most of her trust in them.
Yuri did meet one person who at one point changed her perspective about people. Suzue Nakao was her name. She was the same rank as Yuri, who was the only person to break down her wall of distance. Yuri didn't see her like the others. She was very persistent and nurturing when it came to interacting with the distant woman. Yuri developed feelings for the woman, but it was until Suzue suddenly decided to distance even herself from Yuri. Only a few days later did Yuri received the news about Suzue's murder, as the young woman was on an escort mission and was encountered by numerous bandits. This caused Yuri to further revert herself back to her distant state.
Yuri requested to momentarily leave the village to interact with Chomei. She eventually connected with the beast after a short few days, only to be slightly annoyed as its happy-going persona at first glance. Despite this, Yuri managed to create a bond with the tailed beast, as if she could fully put her trust in him. Of course she could find it slightly annoying, but Chomei was a creature that Yuri somewhat felt comfortable around. For the next few years, Yuri would try to better understand how does her bijuu work and how can she use the beast's powers to give her benefits in battle.
Now a jounin, Yuri still bonds and interacts with Chomei despite its annoying demeanor. It was now the third creature that Yuri fully trusts, next to her parents. Yuri, still stiff sociably, "attempts" to better herself as a person for the sake of her health.
RP SAMPLE
Emiri stood only a few meters away from her father as both hands curled into fists. She could only already feel the light drizzle from the grim clouds landing on her. Determination, hunger for power and the need for victory pulsed all over her body as she stared at her father. Today was the day, she'd thought. Today was the day for her to prove her worth to her father as a "taijutsu master". For years she's been looked down and neglected by her father. It was time for her to finally expose what she's worth and how much power she truly holds.
"So, little Emi thinks she can take down a master such as myself." The man taunted to his daughter. No words exchanged from the blonde girl. Her father scoffed and let out a soft chuckle to shrug off the silence. "Alright kid," he began as he got into his battle stance. "Let's see what you got." He announced, commencing the battle and letting Emiri make the first move.
"You're not only going to see what I got. You're also going to feel it." Emiri called back. Those were her last words before electric sparks began to appear around the girl. After that, the sparks transformed into a flow electricity, followed by blue chakra surrounding the woman. Her hair began to slightly spike up as more electricity flowed around her and the aura of her blue chakra becoming larger. She could already see the astonishment in her father's face as he was witnessing her transformation.
As soon as her transformation was completed, Emiri charged at her father in just blink of an eye with her right fist drawn back and ready to release. As she was in front of her father in a matter of seconds, she launched her fist directly at her father's face with swift speed. Fortunately for him, he was able to catch her fist with both hands. However, he felt the impact surge all around his arms, giving him a massive uncomfortable sensation. He grimaced as he felt himself struggling while holding Emiri's fist.
Emiri's strength was heightened enough for her to easily pull her father in while he grabbed onto her fist. Lifting him up in the air, the girl flung her arm out to her as her father's grip on her fist was forcibly released. The man was sent flying across the field in a matter of seconds. He managed to control his flight and level himself onto his feet. Just when he did that, Emiri appeared right in front of her father before his eyes and sent a high sweep kick to his face. The heel of her foot connected to the man's jaw as he felt immense strength traveling into it, as if it were broken. Emiri would then grab him by the scruff and attempted to punch him in the face for a second time.
Her father managed to get out of her grasp as he jumped back. Emiri followed along, having another grip attached to his shirt. Repeating what she did before, she lifted him up in the air and this time, began to rag doll him. She would slam the man all over the ground as much as she good before jumping in the air, this time both arms covering his chest as they began to spiral to the ground head first. As the man struggled to break free from Emiri's grasp, it would already be too late as he felt the impact of his head hitting against the ground and the sound of his neck cracking.
