History:

Seventy years ago, when the village system was being born, the Usagi Clan made one thing clear: they wanted peace.

Time progressed during its establishment, and the ancestors of the Usagi Clan had lived a life on the outskirts of the village. The time was prosperous as the people who worshipped the lucky, free lifestyle of the rabbit had come to-and-fro of the villages garnering wisdom and (of course) liquor. The head of a clan was a youthful and vibrant woman who looked only for the prosperity and expansion of the clan which led to her traveling and learning the art of ninjitsu and applying it to their daily living as a means of survival. The first of these techniques was learning the prize skill of Doton: Keijūgan no Jutsu from their native village. However, they were unsuccessful, but learned to apply it a different way as time went on preferring to use it as part of their performances and technique to evade bandit on their long journeys.

That was the peaceful life of the Usagi Clan…

However, the fear of the clan had come to pass as time went on. The Usagi Clan could see Kusagakure’s situation in relation to the two villages: Konohagakure and Iwagakure. In doing so, the Usagi Clan took the position they say they would amidst the time of their establishment: they would participate in no war or fights. The family had grown due to their promiscuity and passion for expanding their clan, and in doing so, continued to promote their purpose and nature in relation to their spirit animal. The clan members had continued to be nomadic and increased their activity in traveling amongst the lands of the shinobi world when they learned the actions of the Tsuchikage in politics became fully engrossed. Finally, the Usagi Clan had denounced their allegiance to the villages at the end of the forty years where the Tsuchikage was assassinated.

Years had passed, and the Usagi Clan had become to shape themselves with the time.

The Usagi Clan’s third generation had come into fruition at the present day. At the end of the decade of the Tsuchikage’s assassination, the Usagi Clan had gained a very immoral reputation. Members of the clan were thought to be promiscuous by nature as they were reduced to nothing but women and girls, while the male members born of the clan or of Usagi Clan blood were left in villages with their respective fathers or abandoned in orphanages due to their fear of male members craving the fires of war. The Usagi Clan’s practices continued to be this way with female members of the clan making visits to the villages that they were able to access. With Iwagakure thinking solely of vengeance, their clan was branded as traitors, and so they were careful to not walk the grounds of Iwagakure and the Land of Earth for any reason. Due to the loose properties of sand and how the wind works against the Usagi Clan’s ears, they do not wander the Land of Wind. This leaves them to only frequent the other lands with the Land of Water being more frequent than others due to the clan’s hearing making the village beyond visible for their sensitive ears.

The clan has structured themselves over the three generations. The eldest brothers and males banished due to the changing times are living in villages or exile, while the eldest sisters and females are known as “Grandmothers” by every and all whether family or friends (as their nature suggests for the family to be gentle and docile to peace keepers). Clan Grandmothers of the first generation are over mothers, and the youngest are called “daughters.” Any generation equivalent refers to one another as sisters as per their structure of the clan.

Nomadic, the clan travels between the three villages they can with themselves frequenting Kirigakure as their meeting grounds due to the conditions of the village. The family profits from parties, performances, and sales that come from different items they find amongst the shinobi world land’s that are not native to one another. The clan members, regardless of their promiscuous nature, still have a system that is noticed by others. Because of their beauty, the clan members seem to have a feminine and charming quality to them that make others flock to them.

The clan can be noticed by their signature wear when in villages or traveling. The clan members were a pair of faux rabbit ears on their head that respond to chakra flow to the ears. The ears move and twitch in the response of fluctuations in chakra and even funnel in sound as if they were actual ears. The clan is most noted to having leggings plopped with a rounded cotton white rabbit tail on their one piece. The clan even has a signature footwear of heels that elevates the back of their foot to have them in the neutral position for when they fight…and plus they look exotic for most people who see them.

Bloodline: Usagi Idō – The Kekkei Genkei of the Doton: Keijūgan no Jutsu was a technique that inspired a certain family member group of Iwagakure to focus on survival rather than using the application to fight. The Usagi Clan of the outskirts of Iwagakure had done just that. Using this technique, the Usagi Clan members can lighten their weight to a fraction of their weight using their chakra to affect their center of gravity. In doing so, Usagi Clan members can run quickly at a speed above average shinobi (Ex. A Chunnin based Usagi Clan member can match speed with a Special Jounin, and barely keep up with a Jounin), and jump twice as high as any shinobi. Due to their experience with this technique, the running and jumping has made it so that their ears have become adjusted to the velocity of wind that contacts them (via Usagi no Mimi) as they process the speed they go to keep up with their brain (via carpel tunnel). The technique evolved to the point that members of the Usagi Clan can even make mid-air jumps to make consistent movements to avoid danger or even to further their distance of jumps. Until this day, the Usagi Clan members have no matched the derived technique of flying, but they are known as the clan who sweeps through the forest and lands with blinding speed.

Description: The signature style of the Usagi Clan. Using foot movements that shifts weight of the user on their toes and front foot, and shifts to the ball of the foot, the user makes reflexive movements and spins that boast high speed. In doing so, the user launches quick attacks, but in the case of the Usagi, mostly powerful kicks. However, this does not keep it from being applicable to other styles of fighting.
Disadvantages: Although very quick in movement and leads the opponent to expend energy attempting to dodge and keep up, if the rhythm of this technique is broken or the user is efficient in making movements that use just as less energy, the advantage of this fighting style can be nullified.

Description: A series of kicks that is launched rapidly and in close range. The one attack either can attack on foe rapidly in succession, or to attack multiple targets at once. Used by the Usagi Clan often because of their flexibility and quick speed.
Disadvantages: Not many disadvantages, but this attack can be interrupted.

Description: The Usagi Clan’s most oldest technique as well as their Kekkei Genkai. Their ears nourished with chakra and muscles strengthened within the lobes, the Usagi Clan members are able to listen over great distances. For the youngest members, it is at least a 100 meter radius when they graduate from the academy. For the oldest and seasoned, they can hear at least 2.5 miles in radius. The clan can rely on their ears as they are trained to the point they can visualize details using sound as mediums.
Disadvantages: Powerful hearing means that it could be taken advantage of. Usagi members ears are sensitive to powerful or explosive sounds. Sometimes, this can be ignored by training to adjust sensitivity as they listen, but younger ones are not able to adapt as quickly as the more experienced users.

Description: The Usagi Clan’s most relied upon ability to increase their speed. Practitioners who use this technique have the ability to do so by lightening their body mass and using their feet chakra with their feet in order to move at high speeds. In doing so, the user is able to leap high and/or zip across fields in order to benefit them in battle or in daily life (One ability or the other; the other is learned later usually). This may seem insignificant, but it is applied in the daily life style of the Usagi Clan in many ways.
Disadvantages: Because of this technique, the user is most vulnerable when they are airborne as their decent is slower than usual.

Description: A skill that requires the prerequisite of Usagi Ido. The reason is that this technique requires the user to consistently augment their weight to give the impress that they are having a foothold in mid-air. In doing so, in a moment, their chakra acts as they are standing on a solid surface allowing them to kick off. Expending chakra upon kicking off, the user can constantly kick off from one place to the next within the air to participate in mid-air combat if need be.
Disadvantages: The use of this technique, unlike other Taijutsu or Usagi Clan techniques, requires constant use of charkra in order to use it in succession. This ability is great stress on the legs, meaning that a Usagi Clan member is the best to use this technique due to that factor; also, the Usagi Clan’s ability to augment their mass in intervals is a requirement.
