::Appearance::
Face Claim:: Jun Watarase from the anime Happiness!
Hikari is nothing short of a slender male with under average stature. He is about five-foot-three with a weight of no more than one hundred and thirty pounds. He has a defining mark of a heart on his right cheek with his hair dyed to a fine violet (although his hair is a pristine white). His skin is slightly pale true to most of his clan’s members. doesn’t have any defining marks, scars, or bruises upon his skin. However, unlike his feathery light hair, he does have feet and legs that possess some muscle and are coarse like most of the clan members who have powerful kicking strength because of this. With electric blue eyes and pink lips, it’s difficult not to imagine him as feminine in appearance, but this is mostly due to his clan’s traits of having strong genes that shape the female form and charm of the clan.
Hikari’s feminine form truly compliments his clothing attire preference. Due to his clan’s preference for gowns, cloaks, and yukatas; he usually prefers light clothing. He tries to adapt to the Usagi clan’s traditions, and in doing so, Hikari wears a lot of clothing relative to the feminine charm of the Usagi. This includes the gowns and leggings that are popular among the clan due to helping them move lightly around the battlefield in combat. So much so, Hikari doesn’t mind wearing the default entertainer rabbit leggings and one piece. Not to mention, Hikari bares the ears and cotton tail of the clan that are placed on their clothing. In doing so, Hikari usually is portrayed to be female due to his feminine-like clothing and bright colors.
::Personality::
If you could define Hikari, he is nothing short of eccentric. Even though he has had a chaotic life caused by politics and discrimination, he seems to bury it under a façade of passiveness and false jovial optimism. Hikari attempts to take day-by-day with no serious thought behind choice, but rather resorts to traditions and expectations pressed on by others. In doing so, he is a bit deceitful when it comes to his true personality as he marks himself as a “performer” due to one half of his family, and the other rightfully pressing “honor” as a serious means. His militia relative background battles with his carefree personality everyday making him fluctuate between making a solid choice.
As an individual, Hikari can be thought of as simply a “figure.” He acts with a faux charm that comes from his mother’s family, his clan, which mostly has a history with being absolved of duty and simply living life. In doing so, the violet haired boy finds himself participating in the Usagi traditions and activities without hesitation or even feeling forced to do so. He parties, entertains in the clans promiscuous dances and presentations, and not to mention learns the nightlife that he partakes in on the basis while attending his family’s gatherings. Hikari does this happily, not caring much for how his family looks at him, but yet he denies an important part of this: he does not agree with everything his family does.
This is where Hikari’s patriotic side comes in. With his father’s lineage coming into play as a shinobi coming into play, he feels some authentic obligation to help others. Even if the Usagi Clan’s traditions consists of being distant from politics and a country’s strife, Hikari shows concerns for others beyond the clan. Hikari cannot simply stand to see people suffering, and is more than likely to try to go out his way to help if it can be as discrete as possible. This is where Hikari feels dissonance as partaking in this behavior often causes a disagreement with what he wants to be when his clan presses him to “pick a side.”
When it comes to his personal life, Hikari does not seem to be too close to anyone in particular. He holds true to some of his clan’s perspectives such as “Men cannot be trusted” and “a woman’s charm is her greatest weapon.” He sees his clan’s sexualized basis from a feminine perspective due to his clan, but when it comes to seeing citizens, his sense of “honor” comes into play as he tries to see everyone equally. This, once again, causes a dissonance, one that often drifts to his father’s background due to him partaking in his clan’s perspective all his life, but as of late, he drifts to his father’s side as he seem to crave to know more about the true nature of “men and women” alike.
::History::
The third-generation rabbits were so unlucky!
The Usagi Clan’s children from the generation had a split between males and females causing for a lot of difficult situations to be made. Hikari, one of the third-generation children of the Usagi Clan, had been one of many that gone through a difficult child hood that worked on the mechanics of going between mother and father. Born to a male shinobi that hoped for the retirement and a family in doing so, Hikari had spent the first two years of his life in a household with what was not known as a “family.” His mother had held true to the traditions of the clan, simply focusing on the strength and expansion of the clan while the father grasped at a hopeless dream of living with the woman he loved as a complete family: married and raising a child together.
At least the latter was true…
After two years of Hikari’s mother strictly berating the father for growing attached while the man who sought a family grew impatient with his fleeting dream, the family broke apart with an unusual arrangement. Hikari was juggled between a stationary father in the village of Konohagakure while the mother would bring him to travel in small periods. This happened for the next decade of Hikari’s life as he experienced a mixed life of traveling and seeing things that the world offered while trying to be stationary to experience what the “Academy” was. Although Hikari experienced learning the art of shinobi, it was difficult to graduate due to his chaotic family’s arrangement. Eventually, fearing that Konohagakure would declare Hikari a spy, the father had given up his grasp of his son at the age of ten leaving him to travel with his mother solely and the clan. It was the only thing he could do for the woman he loved and the family he could never have.
After this, it became a whole new world…
Hikari had to change from the notion of having friends and being in an environment to simply being with kin and growing up early. Hikari, learning from his clan, found out about the nature of the adult life of people who would lie, steal, and cheat to fulfill their lust and desires. He could not escape his family’s true nature of how they participated in a free lifestyle with the lack of responsibility to anything but the clan. His morality from his father and his friends from Konohagakure created limits in his heart that kept him from completely latching onto the clan’s concepts of freedom, expansion, and liberty away from the five great nations. However, there was still a need to show compassion that come from understanding knowing something more than just family and freedom.
It dwindled overtime, but did not become snuffed out…
During these travels, Hikari learned about his family’s way of freeing themselves of responsibility, including exempting males. Hikari had learned, in time, from the elders that he was more or less a black sheep due to his mother being one of the favored of the Usagi Clan’s family. Due to her having a part of her that love his father so much, she pleaded for them to accept Hikari in some way to the family. Knowing this, Hikari felt confliction and the actual burden his family possessed for the first time in his life. This is when he started to feel that his birth was a curse as him being male was what limited him from having a family life with his father and mother. Knowing this, he tried even harder to be a Usagi, even if he was a male.
Even if everyone called him the “Fox Rabbit (Analogy to him being faux, or ‘fake’).”
A decade had passed with Hikari traveling the three of the five great nations. Learning the basis of the clan and its history, Hikari has become very withdrawn from a lot of social morality. He developed a charm from being within the Usagi that seemed to be almost akin to an assassin as he beguiles hearts in other to learn, loot, and gain for the sake of the clan; but some part of him cannot become a vulture due to his father’s teachings and his time within Konohagakure.
It only pulled him back to Konohagakure, where he once had a “family.”
Til’ this day, Hikari meets with the clan members due to him learning so much from the women, they look upon him as an advisor due to him being one of few males who actually take to their traditions, and does not actively appear in the militia of the village system. Acting on the behalf of the Usagi Clan, Hikari plans parties, seeks festivities, and even appears in villages one way or another to benefit the clan through selling goods. A part of him feeling as if it is his obligation as a “rabbit,” but a part of him thinking there is more that the Usagi could offer than just promiscuity and frailness.
Hikari thus learned the taijutsu of the family as well as that of his father’s village, respectfully, as he visited over periods of time. In doing so, Hikari had set his mind to protecting the Usagi Clan as an advisor, but also trying to find a way to use his position to garner public positive relationships with other nations. In doing so, some small part of Hikari hoped that the Usagi could change in order to trust the village system who could desire peace like the Usagi, and have his mother live happily with his father one day.

Fading light, smooth grass, and some well-rounded balls…they were all essential for a Usagi House training session.
It was evening rather than the dead middle of the sunny day. It was preferred during the hot summers when the last rays of light were like a burning shot of fire to the skin. The backwoods had chirped with the sound of crickets and rustled with the sound of shrubs and bushes that enclosed the squared off area that was pinned on each end with a square net. It may had seem like an ordinary field meant for kickball or soccer, but in fact, it was and it made it all the more perfect for a training session for the Usagi household.
It was probably a year or maybe longer that the Usagi Family had taken refuge in the village after their ordeals, and the comfort was satisfying to the fullest. They had only requested two things in their past time after coming to the village: a house district for the family and a training field that was oddly requested to be Konoha’s recreational field. The exchange was odd seeing it was an unusual request, but villagers overtime had seen why after the first family member trained on the field. The rabbit-like family had outstanding leg strength that made them kick the ball like pros when it came to any game that involved their feet. The proof was in the many times the net was knitted together from one particular bunnies full spin kick that made her dress fly up and the boy’s admire the second special “trait” of the Usagi family.
All in all, things worked out for the best, right?
The thoughts still made little Hikari cringe as he sat his hind on the field, his finger stroking the top of the white ball in his lap as he thought about how their special place was marked in Konoha with nothing more than a spectacular display of athleticism and a mixture of lewdness as he could still picture his big sister bending her body to show off her well rounded hips that scorched one of the training fields white balls. He was not like a bunch of his clan and family members…not fully at least. The young violet haired ninja had often had thought of the clan as too drunk on their beauty and abilities. Sure, he was proud of his persona and traits, but to flaunt it too abrasively was like always dangling candy in front of children; children with wild imaginations that thought of only one thing when they saw beautiful women in short trimmed kimonos playing sports while adorning the clan’s decorative rabbit ears that were a part of uniform and rank.
“Honestly,” the boy had said with a sigh, “Are we only known for filing out a uniform in whatever we do?!” he had asked himself, already knowing the answer considering their reputation in the grass village.
The young boy had stood up, beginning his stretches as he sewn his hands to one another by bridging his fingers. His lower body went left as he pulled his arms to the heavens and then right as he affixed his posture to get out any and all cramps and drawbacks. His mind was on the training, but only partially. Mostly these days, he was trying to get use to the village he had recently come to and became a Chuunin in the very same year because of the circumstances. The Usagi House had recently moved in putting themselves on Konoha’s map by strengthening the military very little, but overall, supplying excellent service around the village grounds when it came to customers in shops, restaurants, and any other supporting roles. As frail as rabbits, the clan was not very good with dealing with outside circumstances such as war and fights, but on the home front, they were a reliable service when it came to attracting attention, keeping peace that they themselves promoted and loved, and also being a comfort to others.
They were as fluffy in persona and services as was a rabbit in nature: good on the eyes and admirable to see, but that was all to it.
Hikari had recently become Chuunin, a new fire bursting in him as he looked to improve in any and everything he tried to do in the village. He was not a very powerful ninja, so he still requires a Jounin to lead him, but he could at least assist at the Academy every once and again. He loved kids after all, but when it came to his inferiority complex, he often slumped at the first mention of his skills in a group. It was not like his techniques were meant for bravery; he was only good at running and traps after all! He was not at all amazing like his older sister, Mikaru and her “Chikan” techniques which were very flexible and strong, but at the same time, very perverse when it came to other ninja looking on at her like she was some sort of fiendish pervert.
He shivered again, but whether from that thought or the cold of the night that finally fallen, he was not sure.
Hikari had saw it was training time; the sun’s fading rays replaced by the coming lunar light was a perfect sign to toss the ball upward as it eclipsed the sight of the moon from where the young rabbit had stood. His eyes had begun to move as the blue orbs glowed within the darkness with the light that reflected into them. His feet shuffled quickly in a jittery dance before they made a quick knee kicking the ball upward and then juggled it about between both of his legs. This repeated as he had let the glowing jewel like eyes follow the ball as if he was trying to keep sight of a target he was to fire an arrow at.
It was a nice night, and he could not help but to notice as his eyes could see the stars that were past beyond the sight of the bounding white ball.
