Kaede threw her cigarette on the ground as she gave it a stomp followed by twisting her foot to make sure flames wouldn't try to spread. She was in front of her father's diner, so the least she can do was not smoke there. However, she couldn't control how she smelled. At least, she didn't feel like getting rid of it.
Kaede fixed her bamboo hat to reveal more of her face as it only covered her eyes at that moment. Her dark blue eyes slid left and right as she scanned the diner to see how many people were around. It was somewhat packed, but not overcrowded. Just the way she like it.
She made a promise to her father to not cause any trouble in his business. Kaede grew out of her teen days in terms of causing trouble in her father's diner, but elsewhere she still had the mentality. She was still maturing, so there was room for her to actually improve.
Kaede sat herself near the entrance, which was the only spot available for her to take. She didn't feel like ordering, or at least not yet. She needed a break from all the smoking she's done for the day and needed a place to sit down and rest, despite the scent of smoke being attached to her.
There was a seat available for one person, but Kaede would assume no one else would try and sit with her, unless they can embrace her smoky scent. CODED BY ELECTRIC

Take a Moment and Think of Just Flexibility & Love & Trust His nostrils did not so much embrace the smoke, as it was ravaged by it.
That was common in such a place as a diner. The citizens and militia unlike had to unwind after experiencing the daily atmosphere. Where there was constant rain and cloudy atmosphere, there was also the alleviating scent of tobacco that was coveted by the stressed and depressed of the village. The scent was on a few patrons that night, and it was not as overwhelming as it was saddening. For a person who had no way of gazing into one’s soul, the other senses would tell so much more to compensate.
So he sniffed…and twitched.
The strange ears gave feedback from some of the residents of the diner. The crowd was allured by the sight of one of the Usagi working tonight at the village. The rabbits were popular at bars and extravagant places that promised a good show of skin. However, one staff member seemed to have an idea to give a different approach, and who better to juggle a tray and charm the patrons than the clan that was known for attracting attention and moving ever so gracefully in almost any environment. It was a charmingly, disgusting idea! Hikari could not help but to admire the twisted genius behind the plan to apply the Usagi in such a way. Even in such a friendly and open environment, he could still feel the wicked gaze of the figures who would see him balancing a tray and leaning over to give a ring of his voice.
“Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you,” he exclaimed with a wink, “…and please, feel free to tip your bunny.”
The rabbit almost glided along the floor with how he moved away from one table and then the next. The previous line was sung out once more like the chorus to a serene song. The figures did not seem to care about warm meals going cold, or even if that had been their sixth drink or seventh; all that mattered was there was a hint of difference in the atmosphere with the rabbit moving about in a confident stride that had superior skills of an actor that gave the impression that no one was watching. When they would see the misty eyes of the rabbit, they swore that he did not.
But they were wrong. They all were.
By instinct, he placed it in the back of his mind, and just as quickly loomed over the table to the figure before him. His hands went across the wooden carved surface and even though his eyes were clouded, he looked upon the bamboo hat of the woman as if he had perfect vision. His ears twitching, he smiled the next moment as the heartbeat before him knocked as if it was calling out to him, and so he would reply: “Welcome!” he smiled while his nosed taken a light whiff. Once again, embracing the smoky scent…of a woman? That was certainly not common to him. It showed with a momentary expression of bewilderment. One that did not last long. After all, he had to retain his professionalism. “How may I serve you today, miss? Could I pour you something to soothe the soul?”
The poetic prose from the rabbit caught the ears of many obviously, but so did the sight. He learned over in his rabbit-like attire. Due to the environment, he dressed a little more conservative: a kimono of white with patterns made it seemed like smeared cherry blossoms adorned his skinny body. His fingers were still on the table as he awaited her response: detesting he could not perceive her by sight but basking in her scent.

Kaede rose her head up as someone called out to her.Turning her head to where the voice came from, Kaede would be lying if she said she was caught off guard of the person taking her order. What she thought was a young man asking Kaede if she wanted to order turned out to be a young man who looked like a young woman.
Kaede smirked in amusement as she scanned the waiter from head to toe. "Alright, how many times were you mistaken as a woman before you've opened your mouth?" Was the first thing she said. With feminine features and even the rabbit ears and tail like what the waiter had, he was bound to fool some people, so Kaede would think.
"I'll have some water. I've already had enough alcohol for one day." Kaede added. She wasn't sure if her father was the one who came up with this idea, nor would she want to question it. Regardless of the cause, it sure as hell was selling.

“Oh?” the rabbit chimed with his smile going from sweet to scandalous. The slightest of his lips making him seem so promiscuous as he leaned back, standing on the opposite end of the table from the woman nestling his head to the right with the rise of his hunched shoulders, “I understand. Most people think they are seeing things when they get a look at me too, so…water it is!”
He teased as he danced to charm as he worked!
As a soft chuckle escaped his pink lips he had swept his right hand to one of the makeshift ears twitching as he listened to the area around him. The voices of the establishment carried every echo from the corners of the room until Hikari could make out every detail down to the grooves between the strips of lumber that lined the building. With a pristine smile, he had begun to walk only a short distance. Sure, he had the area down by memory and could move about as if he could see with his eyes, but it was always nice to put on a performance for the guests!
Oblivious of the woman being connected to this place, he moved all the same as if she was as common as any guest that come through the doors. He moved around the tables with the most graceful of twists and turns as he balanced on one foot with a lean on the distant counter, and spun around letting his lightweight pivot onto his heels while the muscular legs swept to keep him in a dancing motion. The other hand almost snatching the glass by the pitcher as he begun to walk while not even batting an eye.
It was not needed anyway. The way he moved, it was as if he had perfect vision all about.
“As per your question, ma’am,” he asked as the sound of the glass sitting before her knocked against the wooden table. The water smoothly poured from the pitcher as he stared towards her and let his twitching ears listen to the hollowing sound of the glass filling, “It’s hard to say. Many see me through my family's image and cannot believe it. They hear how soft my voice is and become uncertain of it.” The glass stopped full of an inch as he hand lifted almost as if by instinct. His ears stopped twitching while sitting the pitcher before the mysterious woman.
“However, in the end, it does not matter to them. They keep on staring.”
As usual, the rabbit punctuated his banter with a charming smile.

Kaede watched the young man moved about, much to the woman's amusement. She wasn't too sure if this was something that happened often in the restaurant. If that's the case, then she'd need to make less visits to her own father's diner. Then again, she has to show some love to her father if she wants to support him in someway, even if it's just on making an appearance.
She also couldn't noticed the twitches on his rabbit ears, of what she thought was part of the costume. At that point, she wasn't too sure if she smoked too much that were causing her these hallucinations. That is, if they were even any hallucinations going on. She was concerned.
Finally, the young waiter was finished with his performance as Kaede was handed her glass of water. Taking her glass, she took a sip of it without giving gratitude-- as if she should-- while her questioned was being answered. This only rose more questions for Kaede to ask. Does she really care? Not really. She was, though, curious. "Family, huh?" She huffed as she finished her sip.
"Does this family involve having... bunny ears?" She asked, motioning her free hand to point at the top of the waiter's ears. She wasn't too familiar with his family if they were to be well known in this village; she'd say she had other problems to worry about.
"I think I need some conformation to prove I'm not going crazy."

Take a Moment and Think of Just Flexibility & Love & Trust
“My-my!~” the rabbit chanted, “Asking about my family already? You must ‘really’ be falling for me, ma’am! If only I knew your name!” he said this playfully no doubt. The smile on his face and the gesture of letting his ears be an inch more out of reach with a tilt of his head was a clear indicator. The rabbit had leaned in while the woman spoke, his hands were on the table and his head drawing back revealing more of his neck invitingly even if he acted as if he forbade her touch. The clan of rabbits seemed well refined in the art of temptation as it already seemed to lull the onlookers in a fit of envy.
It continued with no intention.
The rabbit had reached to his head as the chakra flow set his ears in motion. There was more twitching that seemed slow and calm compared to the sporadic motions from before. The imagery of the female and the diner around him became barely visible as he let down his guard. In his way, it was as if he was fixating his gaze. The perception limited, the picture only became himself, a cedar scented table, and a woman on the other side with the strangest of hats. It was all that had his attention at the moment as there was barely a request for him as they were already busy being inebriated or they were whispering about some sexist remarks or comments.
He dulled his senses for this conversation and this one alone.
“Perhaps you truly know nothing of us?” he asked with an unexpected ping of melancholy. The smile on his face almost becoming depressing, “Then again…perhaps that is a good thing. We Usagi have a reputation of entertainment and service of the…unscrupulous kind. It is so rare that I get to experience such places as this! It’s refreshing!” The rabbit said this while finally pushing off the table and standing before the woman.
The discomfort was not exactly inviting. He was letting on about himself, and it was by nature making him lift his right heel as if he was ready to flee. Amused, however, that such a woman did not curiously ask about the few figures that would walk about the villages with the matching ears, he was not sure how someone (or anyone for that matter) did not know of his people and how they would get such unruly looks in public places, but twisted and gluttonous gazes from dark and shady spaces. Not that he even knew what they looked like. He could hear it in the tone of their speech, and honestly...he was glad it was not in this woman’s voice.
At that moment, he contemplated taking a break for once, even if it was to keep hearing that voice.

Kaede cracked a smile as she took another sip of her water while the waiter joked about. "Sorry, not interested." She joked back as she continued to eye the young man from head to toe. She then averted her eyes to her glass as she lowered her voice. "Not exactly my type, anyway." She'd mumbled as her cracked smile disappeared from her lips. Whether the young man did hear her comment or not wasn't much of an issue for Kaede.
Kaede took note of his body gesture. It was as if he took some interest in her, in a sense that he wanted to keep the conversation going. After all, Kaede has always been the interesting one with a complicated and troubled past to help shape up who she is today. Does she really like the way she acts? Probably not. Does she plan to do something about it? Probably not. More or less, she sees herself as a train wreck with good social skills.
"More or less, no. Maybe that is a good thing on your part." Kaede shrugged as she fixed her gaze back on the young man. "All I can say is I've got more on my mind that's important than to acknowledge about some family business, even if it's obvious." She informed. "Even if I did, you shouldn't expect much from me when I meet one of you. Sorry if I'm coming off blunt, but it is what it is." She added. Maybe she was a little too rash with what she said, but she intended to have no hostility in her words. She was only saying what's on her mind.
The woman laid back in her seat as she crossed her arms with a sigh."Why don't you sit here with me for a bit? If the 'big boss' comes in and see you here, don't worry. Let's just say him and I are good friends." She reassured with a smile. CODED BY ELECTRIC

Rejection was nothing new to the rabbit, but it was rare.
If anything, it only illuminated the woman’s radiant personality to him. Such a notion spoke volumes for his eyes that seen absolutely nothing. The rabbit felt many would play pretend for the sake of getting close to him. However, this did not feel like the case. The rabbit’s sensitive ears twitched, catching the last rebuttal of the young woman and simply smiled. It only confirmed his suspicion: she knew nothing of his clan; as whispers were useless in the presence of any of the rabbits.
“Don’t worry, you say?~” he chimed playfully once more, “I will take that as a sign that you will protect me! How kindly of you!~” Of course he shown a smirk as he reached out his right hand for the chair and turned it backwards. The back of the chair rested upon the table, allowing him to hunch his knees on the seat and letting his arms rest accordingly along it. His fluffy tail poked out as he taken the odd seating position and let his hazy, blind eyes stay fixated on the young woman.
“There is no need to apologize,” his gentle voice going between playful and somber, it was almost obvious when he was being serious now. With a sigh, he continued, “I have no such interest. My family calls this kind of behavior…eh…business.” His eyes did not stray as it would do him any good, but his expression however did soften. That gentle sadness returned as his smile broke for that moment and he retreated into thought. His conditioning had activated, reminding him to hide his true persona.
And so the flirtatious mannerisms came to surface to submerge his emotions.
“But no offense, I am sure you’re very pretty.” he teased, “And you seem genuine. Man or woman, I get enough attention, so that tells me a lot about you since you have not been captivated by myself or my clan. After all, they are so much more prevalent here than Konokagakure. Not to mention, the rain…”
The rabbit’s ears twitched as he listened for something, anything reminiscent of precipitation that would pour outside. “…it is almost as if I can see.” his smile was not faux nor saddened. For once, the rabbit seemed to genuinely express joy thinking about rain.

"Well, it's the least I can do. I know the old man better than anyone else." Kaede said as she gave a small smile while watching the young waiter take his seat across from the woman. Of course her father wasn't exactly on board with workers doing anything else that isn't work related, especially if Kaede tries to defend them. However, she knows that there's always that small soft spot he has for his troubling daughter.
Kaede rose an eyebrow of interest as the young waiter mentioned about his behavior being "business"."Don't worry, I don't think you had any to begin with." She assumed with a chuckle. "But, I'm not too surprised. Anyone can do anything for money. Why is that, that your 'clan' is so... you know." She trailed off her question to take another sip of her water. Hopefully the young man would be able to finish the blank. If not, then oh well.
"You're 'sure' that I'm pretty" In what sense?" She asked. "I mean if you think I'm ugly, don't beat around the bush." Kaede joked with a chuckle. "Speaking of 'pretty', it takes a lot more than just a bunch of flirty people with some bunny ears to captivate me... well, that depends on the person I guess... so I can freely pick at their ears. Of course, I won't do that to you." She shrugged.
Kaede made a hum as the young waiter mentioned Konohagakure in amusement. "So you're from Konoha? I'm guessing your clan must be everywhere. I'm assuming the Mizukage knows about your clan? Or am I just being bamboozled?" CODED BY ELECTRIC

Take a Moment and Think of Just Flexibility & Love & Trust
His lips simply parted hearing the question as she trailed off with her question.
It was not a hard question at the very least, but for some reason, the only thing that came from his lips was silence. After a while, a simple breath escaped between his lips. A sign that was composed of nothing but self-pity and restraint to talk too much about himself. Even if their shame was apparent, it had its secrets, and the violet haired rabbit did not divulge any of them. Simply a muse came from his lips as they sealed shut and present the charade of a smile. It left nothing but silence…until the young woman spoke gain that was.
“In the sense that matters,” he answered the easier question, “I am not certain of the beauty most speak of. I do know, that for some reason, it controls the environment. It is so…interesting.” The rabbit said this as his fingers massaged the table’s surface, perceiving the very cravats and creases that ran along it. The question in his mind trying to perceive if what he was touching would be known as “beautiful.” The only thing he could ever know that it was smooth, had some faults that ran into its surface, and even some scratches. It was as comparable as the body and faces he had touched in the past.
“Rabbit ears or not, you have said it yourself, I would have fooled you.” he said with a smile, “The allure that I seem female seems to attract others. If not for that, I think my family would not even consider me a “Proper Rabbit” as they would say. It continues, even now, to be a funny thing! My abnormality as a male with feminine appearance and features is what deems me acceptable!”
His smile and tone seemed to almost think of it as humorous. It glossed over the depression that come with it.
“But about my clan,” he continued, “We are almost everywhere. When Iwagakure experienced a period of civil war from the assassination of our Lord, we scattered from our home in the Land of Earth as it would possibly become a battle field. The lords of each village know of our existence and when we are around. We pay taxes when we throw parties, host events, or work that cause traffic to come through establishments. This is understood by everyone, and so, our…’services’…are acceptable. Especially in such a war torn era.”
The rabbit breathed as he leaned forth, his misty eyes unchanging as the belief he was about to speak, “As my family says, ‘We are lovers…not fighters,’ understand? Yes?” He comforted and eased himself back into his seat, back kneeling in his strange sitting position. His head was slightly more withdrawn to the point that he could ease his head behind his folded arms. “It is the best way in order to keep our kind from diminishing. At least, that is our belief.”
Once again, the rabbit’s expression faltered as that gentle sadness returned to his expression.

"In a sense that matters, huh?." Kaede repeated as another sip of her water was made. "Well, I can tell you one thing about beauty: it's easy to fool people with it." She said. Kaede never really considered herself beautiful, mostly because her persona wasn't beautiful or settling, unless people preferred to be around a troubled woman like her. If she isn't beautiful on the inside, she wouldn't consider herself pretty on the outside either, even if some people would disagree on her being beautiful on the outside.
The idea of appearing feminine while being male was considered "acceptable", did raise a few more questions from Kaede, especially if his parents wouldn't consider him "proper" either. Even if it did appear as a joke from how the young man delivered it, she still couldn't help but slightly scrunch her nose in discomfort. It wasn't the idea of appearing feminine while being male that made her uncomfortable, but he wouldn't be deemed acceptable if he weren't.
Kaede snickered when he mentioned about his clan originating from Iwagakure, fixing her bamboo hat in the process. "Iwagakure. I heard that village was a hell hole. Still is to this very day." She said half jokingly. She sat in silence for a moment as the young man went on. Finally, all she did was smile which held some pity in it. She couldn't help but feel it for him. To her, it felt odd but she couldn't judge.
"I see." Kaede cooed. "So you're just a bunch of entertainers traveling around with some... rabbit ears and tail as the cherry on top in a tough time." She'd assume. "Well you seem to be doing a good job at lightening up the mood, but is this something you've wanted to do or is it just a must that every member of the clan have to be in your position, or at least similar to it?" Take a Moment and Think of Just Flexibility & Love & Trust
He was not sure where the sadness started.
Almost as if punched in a gut, Hikari’s cheerful expression had faded away leaving not even a hint of a smile. An undeniable sadness shown in his expression the moment the woman went on to talk about Iwagakure. It was not so much about village pride, or event offense to her banter; rather it was home. The rabbit thought many times over how it would feel to walk to the place known as his homeland and perch there for an eternity. Just visiting Iwagakure’s borders had filled him with a strange nostalgia: one where he felt he stayed somewhere a life time ago.
As if in a zombified state, he answered the woman’s question still…
“Honestly,” he breathed with a troubled sigh, “It feels like the only thing I have.”
The rabbit heard words of disgust, wicked whispers, and false truths of his clan when he walked the lands outside the Earth Country. However, it was different when his ears perked, and he could hear the sounds of the rugged land and rocky terrain. The countrymen knew them by another name, and it was with the same venom, but a different tone. There was an air of respect in it that was not present in the other countries, and thinking about that one instance he walked the Earth Country, it changed his entire perspective on his clan’s traditions and ways.
His hands transferred the weight his shoulders bore onto the table as he sat up from the chair. They slid to the back of his seat while his hind that was in the air as he leaned now rested on the back of his legs. His form was more structured. The flirty and shallow mask he wore seemed to vanish with the air about him as he spoke in meek, vulnerable tones. “Such an inquisitive and refined woman. You surely have principles.” his hazy eyes stared blankly as he bore a straight face while finally letting his hands rest upon his lap, “Tell me miss, what is it that you would like to do? Apparently, charm and fancy does not distract you.”
The rabbit, genuinely curious, listened. His ears twitching in anticipation to every word that would leave her lips the moment he would hear them part.

"You poor little bunny." Kaede replied, with another sip being taken. Although what she said could be considered sincere, it was more half-assed with a lack of sincerity. However, Kaede only thought that wasn't the case. She could see how troubled the young waiter looked, though to sympathize was such a stranger to the woman. Not that she doesn't want to, even though that's sometimes the case, but can only do so if she were to undergo a similar situation. Kaede expects sympathy from no one, nor would try to give any of her own.
"I can't imagine exactly what you've been through, but all I know is that I wouldn't enjoy a damn thing about it." She said with a chuckle.
She watched the young man reposition himself, followed by a compliment. "Thank you. Not often I'd get something as sweet as 'having principles', you know."She joked. After that, were questions about what she likes to do. Pulling herself back in her seat, she crossed her legs as her eyes pondered off, as if she was deciding on what to say. "Well, I like to eat, drink, smoke, sleep, shit, and fight. The list goes on, but let's just say those are my most favorites." She replied in a casual tone. "Let's just say I've been a troubled kid who has mommy issues. It wasn't fun, but then again without it I wouldn't be the fun person I am." CODED BY ELECTRIC

Take a Moment and Think of Just Flexibility & Love & Trust
“Hmm!~”
A musical hum came from his lips even though he kept the sullen look. The violet haired rabbit had not responded to the sympathy as he had much of that on nights he swore that would not end. It was like those few times, once or twice, that someone would try to get to know him with no vile intention in heart. He did not flock to them, but he gave a wingbeat to at least take solace in the little sympathy they seemed to muster. Just like then, and now, he would just tell himself that they were only a face: there today and gone tomorrow, and only God knew if they would be familiar.
Usually, they would never cross paths again…
So he questioned the investment as she spoke. The little details she talked about with the rabbit almost made him laugh, but only managed to make his lips curve into a friendly smile. Right away, he could see that she was akin to her vices from the scent, but she was no victim of them. She seemed to be one of those few individuals who had such a carefree composure, but had a profound distinctness to her personality. True to the personality of being a bartender, he, had reached for the pitcher of water that was at their table. His twitching ears keeping tuned to the conversation and the need for him to fill her glass to keep such an interesting woman talking. It was the least he could do!
“And probably would not be talking to loose rabbits in her kin’s restaurant,” he exclaimed with his perky voice as he poured, “Yes, fun indeed. You are certainly the life of my party right now. However, I cannot say that I quite understand the Mother issues. I have never been in short supply of those…ever.” he mused as he tipped the pitcher up right, careful to not even let a drop hit the table. With the base of it touching down upon the table, the rabbit’s twitching ears confirmed after collecting the sound waves of the gentle knock.
Smile returning, and curiosity peaking, he continued: “Nor can I say I understand fighting. Perhaps it is a way of the shinobi. Are you by chance a shinobi, miss?”

Kaede smirked as she was complimented on being a a party. Damn right, she'd think. "Well would you look at that. I'm a fun woman. I could be funner than your act." She teased. Even Kaede gets her fun off of her bluntness and insincerely poking fun at others. Just as long as the other party wouldn't take much offense of her words like this young waiter. The majority of people she met would take some offense, but Kaede never meant any harm. Then again, it would depend on who she's talking to.
"I don't expect you to understand my issues, or anyone. It's my business that I choose to share after all." Kaede explained. She then picked up her glass to take one final sip of her water before her glass was officially empty. She gave a quick glance at her now empty glass, shrugging in the process then places it to the side. "I don't think it's necessary to talk about it, either. Won't really serve much justice, anyway." She added.
"A shinobi..." She repeated. "I could be, I could be not. I could be just an average shinobi or I'm probably greater than I'm actually worth." Kaede said. "Jokes aside, yes I'm a shinobi. I wouldn't know what to do with myself. Certainly not going down like you, that's for sure." Kaede snickered as she then rested her arms on the table, of course having no intention to offend the young waiter.
"Have you ever thought about just... you know, going out there? Live more than what you are. Fight, kill, dominate. All of that. I'm actually surprised you don't much about fighting." CODED BY ELECTRIC
