KASUMI NOUYOU
"What do you mean, we can't turn my room into a beach?"
25 | FEMALE |
JOUNIN | KIRIGAKURE |
APPEARANCE
The most distinctive part of Kasumi's body would be her long flame red hair. This is normally tied together in a ponytail because it would otherwise be in the way. She weights about 56 kg and is about 169 cm long. While not on missions she tends to wear a blue top without any sleeves, just enough to cover from just below her neck till just a little bellow her breasts, which it manages to still show off due to how close to the skin it is. Bellow she wears a short skirt that reaches till just above her skirt. underneath she wears a short pair of black shorts that's normally not visible, to prevent others from seeing indecent things by accident. On missions she usually wears a protective vest like most Kirigakure shinobi.
While her skin looks very smooth and delicate at a first glance, that's only because most of the training she does is with ninjutsu and genjutsu. However upon closer inspection of her body one can see she's slightly muscled, showing she doesn't skip her physical training. She's not quickly seen wearing a hat or any jewelry but tends to have a light amount of make-up on when she's not on missions. Of course she doesn't on missions unless it's urgent and she still has it on her.
PERSONALITY
In general Kasumi would best be described as cheerful and energetic. Most people that know her constantly wonder where she gets all that energy. While she isn't like that all the time, most notably in the presence of superiors. Even when she became older she never lost that passion and emotion that is in seemingly everything she does. Whether this means training, a mission or preparation for the summer festival she will give it everything she's got.
While her enthusiasm doesn't diminish on missions her nature otherwise does change. More on edge and on guard, yet she tries to hide this behind her bubbly persona. She dislikes people that don't seem to know how to relax and are stiff or emotionless all the time. As for food, she dislikes bitter food and doesn't like plain water to drink. Despite her outgoing personality holding speeches for a large public really terrifies her.
Despite all that she's really loyal to the hidden mist village. Not to any of their rulers (including the kage) but to the village as a whole and she would do anything to guard it's citizens, it's peace and the people she loves. She loves the beach, alcohol, and going out at night. She also isn't shy to use her illusions to have fun, either as a prank or to genuinely make any event more fun. As for food, she really loves meat, spicy stuff, or spicy meat. Wine, beer or anything alcoholic are drinks she tends to enjoy. Sometimes she can also be found working at her father's bakery.

HISTORY
Being the only child of her parents Aya Nouyou had a heavy burden to bear. Yet her prowess as a ninja exceeded most other Jounin in the village. Her parents were both very strict people. Fast forward a decade and a half and she fell in love with the son of a local baker she saved during one of her missions. At first it wasn't that bad, since young people have small romances like that all the time. It wasn't until they became older and the love didn't wane that they started to become worried. In the end they managed to come to an agreement. All children they had would belong to the Nouyou Clan and would become Ninja. At that time they really weren't thinking about children so there was no real reason to refuse.
And as such, when Kasumi was born she gained the name of her mother's clan as per agreement. Her time at the academy was calm and peaceful. She didn't came home with her mother's scores, but they weren't far off. Good enough at least to convince their family this relation wasn't a mistake, at least for now. Aside from her mother's ninja skill she also inherited her father's love for cooking. All seemed well, and her academy days were full of joy. Yet those days did not last forever.
She was put in a team with two other gennin and a jounin, they mostly went on simple missions while honing their own techniques. While these days were still mostly happy, they were notably less peaceful. Their fights, the occasional harder mission they went on drove home that they were preparing for things they couldn't possibly imagine yet.
After a few years of training, growing as a team and doing missions they participated in their first Chuunin exam. Their first was disaster, not even making it past the first test. When they heard that at home they were really disappointed, and it's one of the few things Kasumi shames herself for to this day. Even then the second time she managed to reach the final round, which somewhat restored everyone's faith in her even if she didn't make it in the end. The third time was the charm, passing for real.
Being a Chuunin Kasumi worked alone much more often than as a genin. Her missions also became more dangerous and more serious.
It was a big change, and every now and then she had to do things she wasn't that proud off, yet she was willing because she knew it was for the good of Kirigakure. All this time her love for both the village or it's people didn't weaver. Most missions she went on were successful without many problems. Until there was this simple job of routing a relatively small group of bandits on one of the islands. She was with a small team of other Chuunin, the job shouldn't have been to difficult.
They went in and wiped out the bandit's, who weren't too strong. However, what they didn't realize was that the bandits were there as a decoy. A rogue ninja with a particular hatred for the mist ambushed the group shortly after. His skills were clearly superior to Kirigakure shinobi. Drawing them in an illusion to divide the group and hunt them one by one.
By the time Kasumi's turn was up, the young lady found it strange she couldn't find her group already. She also found it strange that there was no sign of them either, like a technique or flare to indicate their location. This caused her to try to check if she was in an illusion. After using her dispelling technique she noticed the area didn't change all to much. Clearly the user tried to recreate the real deal. She tried to search for her companions, but in the end only found their bodies. Once she found the final body she noticed thrown objects nearing her. She managed to dodge those, but their sender unleashed a wind technique which hit her. She tried to retaliate with some fire techniques of her own, but those were overpowered by his techniques pretty fast.
Realizing she had to think of something fast or she was as dead as her comrades she had an idea. She tried to run, her opponent immediately followed her. After feigning a fall she could hear her opponent search for her in the tick bush she fell in. Once he was close she immediately utilized her clan's technique. The mist immediately began to work and hit her opponent face. She then fled as she heard the ninja's screams. She might be able to take him down now, but she realized if that didn't work out she would just have made him more angry and the same trick wouldn't work twice. Furthermore, she had to report what happened here first and foremost. She didn't think her technique done that hastily in desperation would be enough to kill him, but she didn't hear him following her. So maybe she got lucky.
And lucky she was. She reached Kirigakure safely. Upon reporting she was quickly dismissed and received medical attention. Once she was healed a few days later she was told all they knew about this ninja. This of course was not without reason. Firstly he was a ninja who had a deep hatred for Kirigakure, secondly once he had recovered he would surely seek her out again to finish the job. So far was known he would take Kasumi burning his face rather personal. This meant she had to find him out and kill him. Not a job she wanted to take, especially because this was usually a job for jounin. Still she had little choice, but to accept.
She tracked him down to another island on the southeast of the land of water. Apparently a nearby merchant recently sold some ointment to him. Apparently he couldn't have gone far. After some more searching she managed to find him in some cave with only one exit. She sneaked inside at night with the plan to kill him in his sleep. Just as she stroke his body it disappeared. She then realized that the body she was staring at earlier must have been another illusion. She jumped back, just in time to dodge an explosion attached to a kunai.
As Kasumi knew a fair fight wouldn't end well she decided to try something else. Namely to collapse the whole cave on the guy. Using the hiding in mist technique she managed to hide her presence long enough to ignite some fire jutsu's on the wall's. Once she was outside she released her boil release with the last bit of Chakra she could spare. He didn't manage to escape it seems. After cleaning up some of the cave's remnants she found the ninja's body. She tried to dispel illusions on it, since it wouldn't be the first time he tried that trick. Turned out he really was dead. As such she returned to Kirigakure, where she was promoted to a jounin for that job and the diligence showed in her progression otherwise. As she grew older and her parents strict rules slowly but surely fell of she started to enjoy a freedom. Maybe a little bit too much, but it wasn't like she had hurt anyone...yet.
RP SAMPLE
"I"am leaving!" sounded through the Kitchen of the Nouyou household. A young Kasumi stepped outside after she said that and could hear her mother's response just before she closed the door.
"Have fun and be careful!" Even though she was a great ninja, she just couldn't help her maternal instincts but to worry about her daughter. At least she was home right now, there were times where she would be gone for weeks. It kinda made Kasumi wonder what kind of missions her mother actually did. Still today was her first day in a team. She wondered what kind of jounin she and her ex-classmates would be assigned too. She also wanted to know about the other teams, but they were not as much on her mind as her own of course.
The day was still young and many people weren't even up yet. But since she probably wouldn't be able to sleep anymore anyway that wasn't really a problem for the young girl. Of course, since her father was a baker Kasumi was used to wake up early. Every now and then she met an early person that also had some kind of job they had to start early. Which she greeted and most of the time was greeted back.
The meeting place wasn't far anymore. Around that corner her team would most like be waiting, though she was a little early so maybe nobody was waiting there. As she arrived at the corner she waited a moment and felt her heart soaring like crazy. She took a deep breath a few times to calm down and turned around the corner.
