TSUKIKO YUKI
QUOTE/LYRIC HERE
19 | FEMALE |
Sp. JOUNIN | KIRIGAKURE |
APPEARANCE
Yuki Tsukiko is a lithe young woman on the cusp of adulthood; she stands just shy of 5'7" and her frame makes her seem taller than she is. She has a slim athletic frame, with long legs and a shorter torso than the average woman of her height. Deceptively, Tsukiko is still rather a strong woman but she boasts being agile and flexible as her best physical qualities.
Silvery white hair frames her sharp features with bangs and feathered sides; her long hair is layered to thin out out, making it light and airy. Often she wears it down but she is no stranger to pulling it up into a ponytail or braid for missions. Her eyes many would call the only flaw between her and her twin; she has vertical heterochromia iridum with her colours being red, purple, and blue. On her right cheek is a small scar, a reminder to stay alert during a mission, and is her only visible blemish. Tsukiko bears small scars over her body like many shinobi but none she would call memorable.
White thigh high boots paired with navy and black skirts or shorts are often a favourite pairing of hers fashion wise. Tsukiko's other signature piece of clothing is her navy coloured military jacket and underneath is the usual white shirt. While she finds comfort in her usual clothes, she has no problems throwing on flak jackets and standard shinobi wear nor throwing on traditional kimono and such for her family functions.

HISTORY
For the last six generations, the Yuki family have ruled over the Yuki clan; purity has always driven the clan in thought and in action - it would do so with Souma's marriage to Sakamoto, Hanae, as far distance cousin. Yuki, Souma was the sixth generation Yuki heir, his father. Takeshi, was the family and Clan leader. Takeshi had arranged Souma's marriage to Hanae as she had been born to a unique heritage -she had the Hyouton gene survive in her mixed heritage for six generations. Generations ago, on Souma's mother's side there had been a pair of twins born and one daughter had married into a branch family, from there the Hanae's bloodline had mixed with others, one being the Kaguya Clan. She was a strong and very able shinobi and they sought to mix her genes with Souma's to create the next strong generations of children. Their marriage had not been for love but to continue to strength the bloodline within the Yuki Family. Long gone has been the idea of quantity over quality.
They were married shortly after Souma's twenty-second birthday and within the year, Hanae was pregnant. The elders of the family had high hopes for a strong child to be born, to continue it's rule over the Yuki Clan. They had believed the added strength of Hanae's genes would bring strong children to the line.
In the freezing cold of winter, on January 17th, Yuki Tsubasa was born ten minutes after his fraternal twin sister, Tsukiko. While Hanae's pregnancy and labour had been successful, there had been signs that if she were to have another child, she or the child would no survive. It had been a small amount of luck that twins had been born. Tsukiko was named the heiress unless Tsubasa was to prove otherwise the strong of the two twins.
Tsukiko and Tsubasa's childhood was not a standard childhood by any means. They lived in a life in a way befitting of royalty - often many had considered the Yuki family to be royalty of the clan as they held onto the purist and strongest members. The twins had tutors to teach them many skills at a young age; they would be familiar with basic shinobi concepts by the time they would enter the Shinobi Academy. While they couldn't play with the children outside of the Clan, nor with the clan's children often, they had each other.
They were best friends, one could say that they were each other's only friend. Some would say their childhood was depressing, it was still the best they could have received; the one thing they truly lacked at first was social interaction with those outside of the Yuki Clan. Raised on the idea of purity and the Clan's xenophobic views of outsiders, the twins had trouble adjusting in their first year at the Academy. Unsure of how to act or engage those outside of the Clan, those who were not Yuki, they struggled with social interactions and caused quite a bit of trouble.
Often times, the Sensei had to called Souma and Hanae to the school to address the problems the twins had caused and behind closed doors, the twins would receive a stern talking to and lessons from the Elders. It would take time, but eventually Tsukiko and Tsubasa would find their ways to dealing with those who could not understand their ways and those who were tolerable. Civility was the key to their last years in the Academy until their graduation.
The two of them would graduate at the top of their class, Tsukiko beating out Tsubasa. It had been over those last few years that Tsukiko taken the lead - that she had taken leaps and bounds before him. Tsukiko would never leave her twin behind her, if he would fall, she would pick him up or catch him. She would never abandon him to the maze of the Clan or life, their were twins and they stuck together.
Upon graduating at the age of ten, they were placed on a team with a classmate named Hoshi, Anbā; their sensei was an second uncle to the twins, Yuki, Juro. The team had it's ups and downs in the beginning, neither twin knowing how to actually have to work with an outsider. Juro understood the hardships and slowly eased the three into being civil and admiring each other's strengths. It was one things to the Yuki to understand strength in various ways - to see the usefulness of those around them. In essence though, Anbā was still not a Yuki but she would be treated kindly as she had proven herself able.
The years would settle into routine as they would complete mission after mission successfully. Their teamwork had it's faults in times because nothing was ever perfect. Tsukiko and Tsubasa were encouraged like many Yuki to develop the Hyouton to match their own styles. While they had been imparted the basics, it had been up to them to work with it - often they were told no two people had the same style and often people influences each other.
With learning and routine missions eventually came the chance to be promoted to Chuunin just around their fourteenth birthday. Both were very much eager to prove how far they had come, to show the Clan both of them were strong. Since Juro had held them back from the last two chances at promotion, he stacks the odds very much in their favour by getting them experience in the field. The exams had proven to not much of a challenge and soon all three of their members had been promoted to Chuunin. Juro would continue to serve the next year as a team leader as they were sent on higher rank missions before finally placing the responsibility on Tsukiko. He had said it would do her some good to learn to be a leader before she had to take over for their father, Souma, when he finally decided to pass it on to her.
Juro's words had certainly cemented the idea that Tsukiko would be the heiress; that she had certainly shown much more power than Tsubasa. While she had been a few steps ahead of Tsubasa, she knew he wasn't weak. He was strong in his own way as Tsukiko was in her way but it was her strength the Clan desired. Under Tsukiko's lead, things continued as they were - everything had it's ups and downs, there were some missions that went to the dirt and some laughably easy. There had been a few close calls and hospital visits but no one had died.
With failure and fault came resolution and understanding; it was these Chuunin missions that had certain brought of the worst and best in them. There had been a certain sense of freedom without an uncle or sensei watching over them and with that freedom came trial and errors with the Hyouton. Power was gained in those years, power that many Elders took notice to and as did shinobi within Kirigakure no Sato, leading them to their next promotion.
Steadily, Tsukiko and Tsubasa would climb in their lives and through the political maze of their Clan. The years to come would never be easy, it was the life of a shinobi that made it such.

RP SAMPLE
Do you plan to sit on your ass all day?
May be.
Hattori Nanashi was content to sit on the fence of a park across from the market. 'People watching' as many called it. Some would say it was interesting to do - others didn't. There was the few, Kurama included, that would say it depended on their mood. Today was not the day that Kurama wanted to watch and insult people who walked by. No, he was more interested in telling her that her choice of clothes were terrible, that her brother was a lazy no-good and that she needed a hair cut. That wasn't even the worst of it.
The snarky or sharp comments and suggestions were always there and the world always seemed like white and black, good and bad, demon and angel. Some days it would be hard to get up and live in a world of gray. There was nothing that was every right or wrong - a play on moral and will power.
Yesterday, they had completed a mission - much to Kurama's surprise that their teammates could actually be able to chase a cat around the neighbourhood. One was too fat in his opinion and the other smelt like dog shit. Nanashi let the comment roll on by, there was no need to argue. She had long learned to just let him rant and rave; sometimes she would join in but it wasn't the time or place of course. Today though, it would have been a good day to do so. Except Kurama's target of choice was herself.
Sigh.
A lazy day before the real fun would start. Another new team and new sensei. Forever would she and Arata be shuffled around, especially with their luck.
Her eyes looked over the people around her, knowing soon it would be dinner time at home. Her stepmother and father would be home tonight; it had been a while since the whole household would be home to enjoy a meal. Especially within the last couple of years when Arata had finally graduated.
Kurama continued his little spiteful descriptions of her by until he settled upon a thought.
Should get pork buns on the way home.
Finally a good suggestion.
