Initial Transformation
Version 1:
Initially, Yuri had no control when she first undergoes her initial transformation through a life threatening situation. Each form has been unlocked from experiencing life threatening situations, though not every encounter she faced led to a new transformation. Her initial transformation is nothing more than a dark red chakra surrounding her figure while giving her a boost in durability and strength. Because her initial transformation snapped when she was in a near death experience, she had no control of her actions nor much memory of what happened. Version 1 and Version 2 involves an immense increase in strength, speed and durability. There isn't a massive change in her appearance other than having a red and dense coat of chakra forming around her with each tail representing an increase in her physical traits. She's also able to use her tailed beast's tails as wings in order to fly and to increase her speed.
Mastery: Yuri didn't interact with Chomei until she became a chunin and requested to leave the village to understand the beast and its power. At the first encounter Yuri was slightly annoyed by its happy-going demeanor, but it was enough for Yuri to open up and vice versa. The two share a bond, though the bond isn't enough to have complete control over the beast. As she enters in her Version 1 form, she's well aware of her surroundings Their bond was close enough for her to be able to manifest Nanabi's tails and convert them to wings for both Versions 1 and 2. Although their bond is close, this doesn't mean she has complete mastery of Chomei. Entering into her Version 2 form, she has only moderate to little control of her transformation compared to her Version 1 form due to the immense power boost she receives each time she undergoes a new transformation.
RP Sample: Yuri stared at the four genin who approached her with mugged smirks and smiles on their faces as she trained in the outskirts of Iwagakure. Confusion took over her face for a moment from the smiles and smirks given to her, but was quickly replaced with a friendly smile. She assumed the four would want to train with her. Why else would they come up to her? After all, training with someone else or even a group was better than to go solo. Shrugging off the suspicion, Yuri stopped what she was doing to turn her full attention over to the group.
"Hello there!" Yuri greeted the four. "I could use a couple training partners to train with so it'd be a little less lonely." She chuckled. "What do you guys say?" She asked.
"Oh sure, we'd love to train with a freak like you." One of the genin snickered with sarcasm heavily dripping in his voice.
Yuri rose an eyebrow at the genin's response, as she couldn't help but make a snicker of her own. "I may be a freak, but I'm no different than any of you four." Yuri rebutted. She knew she was still getting odd stares due to her position, but to her that didn't separate herself from the rest of the village. She was still a kunoichi devoted to Iwagakure despite its current state ruined by the Shodaime Tsuchikage. Ignoring the sarcasm in one of the genin voice, she continued to go on. "But anyway, I'm glad you guys are able to train with me! Let's just-"
Yuri was interrupted as she felt a stabbing sensation in her knee, causing her to call flat on her back. The girl grunted in discomfort as she moaned in pain. She felt something leaking all over her knee and soon spreading over to her leg. Slowly sitting up, she noticed a kunai impaled through her knee with blood spewing all over. Yuri's face was full of terror as she watch the blood drip out of her knee. "W-What was that for?!" She screeched. "Why the-?!"
Before she could utter another word, Yuri was kneed to the face by another genin which caused her to go back down. She covered her face to knees the face with blood from her nose already leaking onto it. Yuri continued to grunt helplessly as she slowly removed her hands from her face, covered by nothing else but her own blood. Yuri tightly shut her eyes to try and calm herself from all the pain she's been receiving from both her knees and face.
As she attempted to get up, the four genin started to assaulted the young girl while she was still on the ground. Punches and kicks were thrown at her all over while she laid there, taking it all in as she remained defenseless. Yuri began to cry for help as she hoped for someone to come rescue her, only to have her throat crushed by a harsh stomp. Choking sounds emitted from the young girl as she was barely getting any air, spazzing in the process.
Before she knew it, Yuri was losing her conscience. She stopped moving, eliminating any more chances of her struggling to survive. She also began to lose feeling all over her body, no longer trying to cry for help. At that moment, Yuri was prepared to admit defeat to living and going into the afterlife.
It wasn't until twenty minutes later Yuri woke up, breathing normally with no pain surging all over her body. As she sat up, Yuri looked at her knee to see it perfectly healed. Her nose was in perfect condition, if not her whole body was okay. However, there was blood all over her arms and clothes while her body was okay. It wasn't until she looked around, only to discover the other four genin slaughtered with their corpses lying in a puddle of blood. Their necks twisted, stabbing wounds, and eyes opened with horror.
Yuri, with widen eyes, stared in terror. She had no idea what happened, nor knew who did this? Was she the one who did this, which would explain the blood on her clothes? "No..." She whispered as she shook her head in denial. "No, no, no, no..." She kept repeating the word as she quickly scattered up to her feet. She needed to run. She needed an excuse of why the group of genin are dead and that there's blood on her clothes.
Out of all of this, Yuri didn't know if she should be terrified of what happened or be happy that it happened.
History: Yuri was born in what was once labeled as a barbaric clan filled with bandits who used the affinity earth to their benefit for monstrous strength. Of course there are a few members of the clan who doesn't have earth as their primary nature, let alone not having it at all. While it is a rarity nonetheless, Yuri was one of the members who didn’t have access to the Ikari bloodline. Not that she was considered an outcast because of it, but rather she was most likely seen as weak by other clan members, even her own parents. Despite that, she was still showed affection and care from her parents.
Despite having monstrous strength, it’s remembered that the clan was primarily bandits at first who had plotted to take over Iwagakure as their own territory. Because of that, it was expected that the Tsuchikage would feel slight distrust from the clan, believing that they would plot to overrule him. As they weren’t exactly punished from their history (although the likelihood of it was mostly high), they were still seen as a threat who should be observed carefully. However, the clan was praised nonetheless for their inhuman strength. To say the least, the relationship between the clan and the Tsuchikage was mixed.
Blessed by the gods, Yuri's parents managed to slip under the Tsuchikage's radar by escaping Iwagakure and migrating to Sunagakure when Yuri was only one years old. Sunagakure was the only neighboring country close to Iwagakure where they would cross the borders and seek citizenship for Sunagakure. Her parents did not want Yuri to grow up under a dictatorship and wanted her to live a better life. It was not only Yuri who deserved a better life, but also her parents who also thought that they too need to live better so they can support their only daughter. Thankfully enough, Yuri and her parents eventually gained citizenship after migrating to Sunagakure, though the process was long and troublesome.
Just a year after moving to Sunagakure Yuri was chosen to become the host of the seven tailed beast, much to her parents’ dismay. Nonetheless, the biju was sealed into the little girl. Being only two years old, Yuri knew nothing about tailed beasts nor knew how to process the situation. Yuri couldn’t exactly remember much when Chomei was sealed into her, but the later years as she grew up with the tailed beast inside of her, visible changes started to erupt.
Yuri was ridiculed for having a tailed beast inside of her in her academy days. However, Yuri took negativity well into her own hands. She even decided to make jokes out of it just to protect herself from breaking down into cheers. To her, the only way to deal with pain is to laugh at it. It was a saying her father always says to Yuri, however actually laughing at pain did strike as odd to the young girl. Nonetheless, she managed to grow her circle a little, knowing that her fellow students knew she was able to take these types of insults as just mere, “harmless” jokes. What also helped was Chomei’s easy going persona that merged into Yuri’s always cheery attitude. Though, this was something she had yet to realize.
Harassment and insults, while seen as jokes, were just fuel added to the fire of Yuri snapping.
She could remember it as if it were yesterday. It was just a week after she graduated the academy and became a genin. She was confronted by a group of genin within the training grounds, where it was just her and the group of genin at the time. There were at least four of them, whom of which decided to “poke a little fun at her”. The group of genin saw Yuri as a freak because of Chomei sealed inside of her. They began to assault her, kicking and punching her as much as they could as if they were beating her to death.
Yuri was defenseless, and it was her and her alone versus four other genin around her age. She felt as if this was the end for her, knowing that she’ll die on being the ridiculed child and feared genin with the seven tails sealed inside her. Yuri, at the point, was willing to accept her fate. The pain she was experiencing, the pain that her father told her to laugh at, she couldn’t do it. She couldn’t laugh. She was crying and begging for the genin to leave her alone, but they didn’t listen. Instead, they continued to senselessly beat up Yuri until she stopped crying.
The rest was a blur as Yuri blacked out, but it wasn’t so hard to figure out what happened as soon as she woke up. When she woke up, all of her wounds were healed and her bleeding stopped. However, she noticed that blood was on her hands, and some on her face. As she looked around, that’s when Yuri showed true terror on her face. All of the genin were dead. Slaughtered. Their blood seeped into the ground, some puddles still being fresh. Yuri had no clue on how long she passed out nor knew what happened. Looking back at it now, Yuri realized one thing:
Chomei. He helped her… somehow. She must’ve gotten into some sort of transformation (what was later known as her initial transformation) and managed to singlehandedly kill the genin. Yuri didn’t know how to feel. She didn’t know whether to be happy that she was still alive or to feel terrified that she actually took four lives. Either way, Yuri knew that she was in deep trouble if someone found out about what she did. The only option to take was to stay low and leave no evidence behind. She was only lucky enough to come up with the excuse that someone assaulted her and the group of genin while they were in the middle of a training session.
By the time Yuri became a chunin, became more distant from other people. She would only exchange only a few words before she would go back to her business. The incident of her nearly dying from the hands of the four genin marked her like a scar. It was an incident she'd never forget. Gathering the other times where she was feared and ridiculed of her being the host of Chomei only worsened her self-esteem.
Yuri hated people. They couldn't be trusted. Though, she would be grateful hadn't her parents moved away from Iwagakure. However, with the treatment she received from other people of Sunagakure, she could say her argument of hating people would be strong. The only two people she trusted were her parents, and only her parents. She wouldn't go as far as to tell them what happened back at the training grounds, but they were the only ones that took care of her and shower her with love, therefore it was natural for Yuri to put most of her trust in them.
Yuri did meet one person who at one point changed her perspective about people. Suzue Nakao was her name. She was the same rank as Yuri, who was the only person to break down her wall of distance. Yuri didn't see her like the others. She was very persistent and nurturing when it came to interacting with the distant woman. Yuri developed feelings for the woman, but it was until Suzue suddenly decided to distance even herself from Yuri. Only a few days later did Yuri received the news about Suzue's murder, as the young woman was on an escort mission and was encountered by numerous bandits. This caused Yuri to further revert herself back to her distant state.
Yuri requested to momentarily leave the village to interact with Chomei. She eventually connected with the beast after a short few days, only to be slightly annoyed as its happy-going persona at first glance. Despite this, Yuri managed to create a bond with the tailed beast, as if she could fully put her trust in him. Of course she could find it slightly annoying, but Chomei was a creature that Yuri somewhat felt comfortable around. For the next few years, Yuri would try to better understand how does her bijuu work and how can she use the beast's powers to give her benefits in battle.
Now a jounin, Yuri still bonds and interacts with Chomei despite its annoying demeanor. It was now the third creature that Yuri fully trusts, next to her parents. Yuri, still stiff sociably, "attempts" to better herself as a person for the sake of her health.
