SUMMON REGISTRATION
Name: Sutāmazā [Star Mother] || Sutādasuto [Stardust] || Nokoribi [Embers] || Sutādeburi [Star Debris]
Contract: Hikari Usagi
Type: Wolves
Rank: B
::Appearance::
Each of the members of the family have defining traits that differentiate them from one to the next. Sutadasuto are purebred from the clan, and offspring of their mother. Their features are the closest to being similar to their defining traits than the other type of adult wolf. The Nokoribi are just as their name implied, “Embers.” The desolate remaining shells of the Curse Mark and a human soul that become enraptured by the build-up of Natural Chakra, they boast the perks of having the partial strength of senjutsu users as well as a human being with some recollection of chakra control. Finally, there are the Sutadeburi, young offspring that look like young puppies and are completely purebred.
Sutadasuto are offspring of the first generation. With only their mother remaining, their name reflects them as just that, “Stardust.” Even if they are remnants of the originals, they are no less potent in ability, but rather in experience. With thick white, brown, and black furs that surround their collars, they can harden their fur in order to prevent most techniques and attacks that aim for vital spots. They have thicket furs of light orange to tan brown or even completely white. Their nails are black regardless of the color of their manes. Their eyes are always colored a beautiful oceanic blue, but when they have succeeded to mastering their use over natural chakra, they turn green and their thicket of fur around their neck matures and protrude to resemble stalagmites. Their bodies are usually as tall as a human being in height and average in bulk when fully mature. However, do not take this lightly as their bodies are mostly muscle. Even the eldest member herself has no features indistinguishable from her offspring other than her usually closed eyes and furry mouth clasped around a bone sharpened like a tooth pick.
Sutadeburis are not significant, but they are very small and good messengers. Unmatured, they have small noses and bundles of fur as a tail and coat around their next that’s soft, but not hard like their parents. Younger, the pups seem to be very small compared to the adults. They are almost indifferent from any ordinary nin-ken puppy, but they are usually twice the size of a regular puppy. This makes them almost as large as an ordinary dog when they are coming into maturity. Their colors are various as there is not much differentiation. The colors are either solid black, white, brown fur as a body, but the colors are either one or another for the paws, the color around the eyes, and the nose (but never matching).
Nokoribi are a different case altogether! Nokoribi are very much the same size as the Sutadasuto, but the key difference are the hues of color and their preferential appearance. The Nokoribi do not have a thicket of fur around their neck, but instead on their backs. Their eyes are always colored with an intense red which seems to give the impression of them being enraged or mad in nature. They consistently use the nature chakra in their bodies that agitate and manipulate the bones until their front paws become almost like hands, and their hind legs augment to hold up their bodies. This form gives rise to the “werewolf” as they use these hands in order to conjure hand seals and unleash fierce blasts of fire from their mouth. Their color pigments for their bellies to their maw is white while their bodies are an intense red. These colors are never different as they have the same origin of the Curse Mark burns an intense red until finally engulfing them, changing their bodies, and taking them over until they become this form: an “ember” of what their soul once was.
::Personality (Ryusei & Suisei)::
The personalities that stick out the most is the eldest wolf Ryusei as well as her eldest daughter named after her, Suisei. As the elder and her most trained pupil, Ryusei relies on her daughter to go out and carry out the duties of the family. This mostly deals with contracts and representing them on their behalf. Even if the eldest mother may seem to be casual, cool, and calm apart from her daughter’s vicious attitude; this is only a rouse as their nature, motive, and movement seems to indicate their intentions are understood to be nothing more than the benefits for their family and pack.
Ryusei is the eldest, and bases her name on the very stars that fall from the sky. As the eldest member of the clan, she oversees her wolves and pups with the utmost vigilance. Her sense of smell is so keen and acute that she usually can portray when there are intruders in the valley, when someone leaves, and when they approach. In this regard, she is completely confident in her abilities, and so she spends time sitting upon the stone formations of the cave and curling herself for comfort while nibbling on her Bone Blade. She jokes and jests, but this is to cover up her malevolent side that seems to not care for humanity or any of its quarrels, but simply focuses on the safeguard and expansion of her family. Anything other than that is practically amusement.
Suisei, the eldest daughter, sympathizes with her mother. She stays consistently following her mother’s orders to the tee, but her exposure as she goes out into the world causes her curiosity to grow. She observes, learns, and attempts to understand some of the most things she calls “trivial,” which is her signature phrase. Even if this is so, this does not stop her fascination. She hides her curios nature through frustration and fits of anger when she does not understand something that intrigues her, but even more so, she attempts to ignore it and not truly decipher it as she sees it as disloyalty to her mother’s teachings.
Suisei in battle is very focused and determined. She has tenacious skill and tactical advantage when it comes to speed and defense using strikes and defensive counters. However, she pales when it comes to unrelenting strength that only some destructive attacks can offer. Regardless, she relies on precision: cutting certain tendons, muscles, and veins are absolute. Her movements are like a flurry of dance movements, causing for Suisei to feel comfort during battle as she relies on her mother’s teaching as music to her movements. However, Suisei is not good with fighting along with others.
However, Suisei may be good with battle, but not with friends. Alienation has made her become hardened at the heart due to her mother’s teachings. Most of the time, she is short of casual conversation seeing as she is not good with knowing about anything beyond the current ninjitsu arts as well as survival. Suisei is not good with socializing, thus making for a lot of awkward situations when she does not understand analogies or comparable exclamations.
::Abilities::
Senninka [Sage Transformation] - The Wolf Sage and all her offspring gather Natural Energy at an astounding rate. In doing so, they can activate sage techniques that involve heightening their speed, strength, and defense. Their primary means of doing so is activating a certain jutsu skill that makes their bodies as hard as steel for the means of tackling and biting into many surfaces or bodies and rend them piece by piece with extreme pressure and strength. The red variation of wolves (Nokoribi) manipulate their appendages so they gain muscle in the back legs to stand on and manipulate their front paws to make them almost anamorphic. Because of this, they can create hand seals. This maybe the result of them having residual memories of their humane side.
Ci no Juin [Cursed Seal of Earth] - The secretion of enzymes and a bite to the body of an individual triggers a special fuinjutsu that “infects” the target. A Kekkei Genkai that passively absorbs natural energy exists within the Wolf Sage and offspring, allowing for them to share their special enzyme and ability to the target. This places a great risk as it is an easy way for the user to learn the methodology to absorb natural energy. In doing so, the target can free themselves of the curse mark while benefiting from the ability of activating the arts of Sage Mode through the mastery of the Wolf’s nature of utilizing natural chakra which purges the mark’s inevitable influence. However, this is risky as the user has only a ten percent survival rate due to the infliction of the “Infection” causes great pain, and even then a process of the user becoming overwhelmed by natural energy and becoming feral in nature and form. There is also the risk that the natural energy will corrupt the user’s mind, causing them to act on more malevolent and murderous intent. Finally, the final risk is that if the user does not master the Curse Mark within an allotted time (Within a year), the user becomes a Nokoribi. This sign becomes apparent as the user becomes more savage as the year progresses.
Hantā [Hunter] – This is the feral ability of the user. The wolves hunt on all fours, and infects their targets with this ability as well. Curse Marked users may find themselves using arts such as Shikyaku no Jutsu which gives the imitation of a four-legged creature and the boosts of speed in both attack and movement. Nokoribi are especially fond of using this technique as they go back and forth relying on their residual knowledge of arts and then reverting back reacquiring their muscle mass using chakra in order to hunt or move on all fours. Natural born wolves move on all fours regardless as it is their basis. Not only does the imitation of appendages and speed increase, but all the other senses also are raised as the user becomes a proficient hunter and tracker. Protrusion of claws becomes longer upon succumbing to the temptation to hunt their prey.
Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu [Earth Style: Hiding like a Mole] - The wolves are fond of digging holes and traveling underground. Their bodies have hardened due to this very discipline. Not only are the fond of digging underground, but also burying and pulling things into the terrain that they may want to claim (via Doton: Shinjū Zanshu no Jutsu).
Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu [Fire-Style: Fireball Jutsu] - Used by Nokoribi only, this technique requires hand signs that are conjured by the remnants of the wolves that were turned by the natural energy they gathered into their body over the year. In doing so, they have turned completely wolf, but have gained mastery over this certain jutsu (which probably explains their red fur). The wolf sends out a large sphere of fire or even a stream of fire continuously spewed from their mouth.
Fūton: Daitoppa [Wind-Style: Devastation] - The wolves are very fond of this technique as they are able to use it without hand signs and is the basis of their howling. Gathering chakra as well as channeling natural chakra, this become a powerful senjutsu technique where a single howl lets out a powerful stream of air from the maw of the wolf. In doing so, it devastate forests and terrain on a massive scale making it a dangerous technique, especially when combined with the natural terrain and settings that are taken advantage of at that time.
Faibusutā sōdo sutorī [Five-Star Sword Style]- a technique that utilizes the four paws with the sets of claws on the wolves, and finally a long sword in the mouth. The claws on the paw act as a set of irregular swords with the nodachi in their mouths acting as their long sword. In this fighting style, the wolves strike with their natural chakra infused claws to give them an edge while using the sword in their mouth to strike as well. The natural energy gives an increased edge to cut through objects with ease, or even to extend the range of the blade using the same principle as when chakra is absorbed into ninja-based weapons.
Saibō Kyūin [Cellular Regeneration Absorption]- Not so much of a technique as much of a way of consumption. Through consuming a kill of any target may it be human or animal, the wolves of the clan absorb the residual chakra from consuming the target’s very flesh and organs that are left behind. This is especially effective on creatures of nature who carry some residual natural energy, thus allowing for the user to stave off hunger for quite a while as this contributes to strengthening their health overall.
::History::
The Land of Earth had always had some spots that were thought too dangerous to explore. The “Howling Caverns” were one of those area. Within the further eastern area of Kumogakure, mountain ranges that tower high and guide shinobi along routes were thought of as proper steering rather than forbidden zone, but they were one in the same as many have not been able to scale them due to the danger. However, the danger is much more impending than many would think.
Upon the ridge and plateaus where the “Howling Caverns” are located, skeletons and skulls align the corners of the rock ridges as they go into the higher lands, but just as one would round the corners, they would find few of the many flourishing areas of the Land of Earth. Small reservoirs and pooling underground water emerge from below the earth, flow through this area, and sprawl through a wide open valley that seems to be abundant with animal life as well as caverns that lead to and from this open area. This land is known as the “Tentai no tani” (Celestial Valley).
The Celestial Valley acts as a haunting ground when one would learn about the Wolves who take refuge in this land. Since the dawn of the shinobi, the wolves had abundantly lived off of nature and remained lone to it. The Ninken that fully immersed themselves to the arts of shinobi were thought of as disgrace and would be thought to forsake the teachings of their cousin, the wolves, in order to use their pure savage nature and pride to hunt in order to survive and harness power. The alpha of the valley, Sutāmazā, has said to live here with her first breed and lived off the valley while teaching her underlings to hunt. In doing so, they passed on the traditions of hunting and harnessing the natural energy in order to survive and flourish as a live breed within Tentai no Tani.
However, humans have dared to intrude and come to these lands during centuries of her life. In doing so, the pack leader had acted in using a strange Kekkei Genkai, that causes a benign Kenjutsu on users. Those who are bitten are actually intended to die as the exposure of this Kenjutsu upsets the chemical and bodily make-up of the user, causing a bit of the natural energy and chakra of the wolves to be interested in the user. With their bodies not able to handle Natural Energy most of the time, many die upon a single bite, some leave only to go through a horrific transformation months after, or some (very rarely) live normal lives while discovering they have acquired new “abilities.”
As so goes the Wolf Sages of Tentai No Tani who take refuge in this land. Separated from human beings, they keep themselves held up in their hollow caverns around the hunting grounds, allowing them to live in secrecy while allowing for others to be unaware that it was a pool of natural energy that was unknown to the world. The many wolves that would roam the lands would hunt or simply test the wills of those that would come. Others would guide the misshapen and turned Nokoribi (Embers who succumbed to the Kinjutsu) back to the land, allowing them to live and learn their ways with their humanity forever lost. Some of these roaming creatures that traversed the lands trying to find themselves back to this place are the reason there are myths of “werewolves” in the modern shinobi world.
Regardless, Nokoribi or purebred pups (Sutādeburi), the wolf clan is well and alive to this very day. The distribution of one of the strangest phenomenon in the shinobi world, the Curse Mark of the Earth, seems to be a biological manifestation of an enzyme that allows them to harness natural energy for themselves. Neither friend nor foe, the wolves appear to those that they find during their hunt and uses the benign ability to inject this chakra into the body of the user seems to be able to shape that individual, and whether for good or bad, the shinobi world due to its strange properties.
