Kako ni Mite - Seeing into the Past
A Doujutsu that summons forth the past of a person's life to be viewed and sifted through. It is stronger when the person it is being applied to is actually thinking of said events but they can be summoned even without, with a little extra effort on the users part. It requires direct eye contact with the person, having to be in the same space as them within a 4ft radius of them. Additionally, the length of time the doujutsu is able to be used strengthens over the course that one trains it. A freshly awoken ability used on another person may not be able to be held for more than five minutes wherein a honed ability could be used almost indefinitely depending on how hard the person has worked and how long they have had the ability. The doujutsu does have its drawbacks in that a user can also use the ability on themselves, potentially trapping them in a realm of 'what ifs' and 'maybes.' If a user sees into their own minds for too long, they run the risk of becoming trapped within and never being able to escape.
Mirai o Kaimamimasu - Glimpse of the Future
This Doujutsu is rarely seen even in the longest lived of the Hitaru as it only activates in the most dire of circumstances near what the body would percieve to be the user's death. Whether or not the user does or doesn't die is dependant upon the circumstances in which they are in but those that do must deal with what they saw. The user may see a snapshot of a future which may never come to pass and upon seeing it, the user may be haunted by what they saw, forever waiting for the event to come to pass. Those who recognize that the future is never finite have a greater chance of continuing onwards with their lives and not living in the shadow of the perspective future that may never come to pass.
