YUNA SHIZUNE
TWENTY-SIX | FEMALE |
ELITE JOUNIN | SUNAGAKURE |
APPEARANCE
Yuna's appearance overall screams the word youth. Without knowledge of her actual age, she's often mistaken as a young, seemingly rebellious teen and carries a feminine image. Yuna only wishes she was that young. Yuna stands about 5'7" and weights around 128 lbs. To her, being around that weight is considered to be light as a feather. She's proven to have a shapely figure, as she ties up her t-shirt into a knot to showcase it. Her body build lacks muscle, but that doesn't disregard her buxom design. Yuna has a very light pigmentation, smooth as silk, but bruises and cuts will be extremely noticeable.
She has long brown hair that's chest-length with bangs, often letting it all out as her primary hairstyle. Other times, she would either have it in a single ponytail or in a bun, depending if it's really hot. She also tries out her ponytail in other places of her head: on the side, on top of her head, and sometimes twin-tails. With a sharp jawline, her face holds a V-Shape. Her eyes are light brown with a natural blush just underneath them. Yuna's expression in general always appears to look either bored or express doubt of some sort.
Yuna only wears two accessories, and that's gray piercings on both ears, although she always covers her right ear with her hair and a necklace that's shaped of a circle missing its part. Yuna's attire doesn't have much going on. She likes to keep her main outfit simple and comfortable for her to move in. She wears a white t-shirt with large holes for her shoulders to be shown. The t-shirt then has a knot that's tied to the back, exposing her stomach. Yuna also has blue pants with a brown leather belt, often slightly being sagged down, revealing only a snippet of her black panties and hips. Finally, to complete this simplistic outfit, Yuna wears black sandals.
PERSONALITY
Due to having a youthful appearance and being seen as a young teen rather than her actual age, most people would expect two sides from her: either a serene and collecting side who's very social, or a rebellious teen who plays by her own rules. In the majority of her cases, it could be both. Helping to raise her sister at a young age by herself and the relationship between her and her parents left a permanent change in her personality. The young Yuna was once a peaceful and tranquil child who was taught to forgive, no matter what the consequences were. If she were to forgive, then good things would happen and may her life he prospered by her kindness and generosity. Yuna has proudly lived with that belief when she was a young child, but that all changed as she's gotten older. There's just a small part of her that still has the young Yuna's bright and lively personality, but the rest of her holds a new and stern persona. She's a mix of both obedience and recklessness, trying to better herself as she continues to grow older and older.
Yuna, at first glance, can be seen as a lukewarm woman who doesn't exactly give off a welcoming vibe. She's very cheeky and fresh, who can be very quick to piss someone off. She's a smart shinobi who doesn't go past her limitations and knows when to back down. Yuna's sarcasm isn't exactly welcoming to others, whether they'd take it as a joke or take offense to it. Her humor is extremely dry with a dark taste to it, but Yuna still keeps her professionalism in tact. She can be often careless with her actions and likes to take action without hesitation. She's a woman of action and does whatever she can to get the job done.
She has patience like a saint but craves for vengeance like a villain. Her level of patience had stayed constant from childhood to adulthood. It's as if she has an infinite amount of it. However, she does manage to have a temper if she's tested. Yuna can argue all day and night to the point where her face would go visibly red if she's tested too much and can't keep her composure any longer. Yuna also believes in the saying, "an eye for an eye". She sees it as a quote for revenge, as revenge is one thing Yuna will have. If someone plays Yuna, then she'll be sure to return the favor in a harsher manner. She doesn't tolerate bullshit as much as she thinks she could, and will give unforgiving consequences on her own hands. Yuna learned revenge the hard way as a child, realizing that being kind and generous doesn't get her too far in life. If only she stayed in the naive and clueless state as a child, she wouldn't even know if she'd still be alive.
The brown-haired Jounin can be a very strict teacher when it comes to her Genin squad. She makes sure everything goes right and will go hard on them as much as she can. She doesn't do it to be seen as a bitch, but that's just fifty percent of the reason. More or less, she does it because she wants her squad to see what it's like in the real world as they get older. She wouldn't be like her younger self where she would show empathy and sympathy if they fail to do a certain task, but she wouldn't be exactly too harsh on them, given that they're young or still don't know how certain things work. Yuna only focuses on success and only success. She doesn't give pat answers when it comes to failure, but she also tries not to discourage her Genin if they do meet failure. Then again, she wouldn't exactly be too soft on them either.
Yuna has the blood of a leader and can be a calculative woman if she chooses to be. For the majority of the time, she likes to take charge and expect things to go her way if that would be the case. Other than that, she can be an obedient woman who's willing to cooperate. Both being truthful and a liar, she will do whatever she can to advance herself forward. Yuna can be blunt, as she isn't afraid to throw the truth out there if needed. At the same time, however, she believes a white lie wouldn't hurt anyone, Manipulation is one of the few tools needed to survive in a world. Being nice is necessary, but it wouldn't help her in the long wrong. The last thing she wants is to be taken advantaged of, just when she was a little child. In the real world, she has to do things she's not proud of to gain benefits. It's all or nothing, she believes.
Deep down from her assertive and aggressive behavior, Yuna can be very sociable. Smoke, converse, she doesn't mind it all. She's willing to give brutally truthful advice if she needs to, and give a shoulder to cry on. Like her younger self, she can, in fact, be very comforting and motherly. It's just that she doesn't really show it that much. She even shows guilt or doubtfulness on her face whenever she feels like she did something wrong and can't explain herself properly (most of the time, she's able to justify her wrongful acts). Yuna is mostly viewed as mature and relaxed Jounin, who is often criticized for being too relaxed sometimes. Yuna deeply cares for those that has earned her trust or those that she watches over and will do whatever it takes to protect them at all costs.
Yuna is a realist. She focuses on reality instead of dreams. She believes that everyone should have a realistic goal based on the circumstances they're in at the moment. She also believes that manipulation is key in order to survive so she can have more resources to benefit her. Yuna was once taught that being forever kind and generous would benefit her in life but learned the hard way that the philosophy never works all the time.

HISTORY
"If you expect happiness and joy in your life, say no."
Those were the words Yuna's father said to her mother as he proposed. Surprisingly enough, she said yet. Little did Yuna know, the reason why her mother married her father was because she was realistic. She knew her father couldn't bring happiness and joy in her life even if he tried, and it wasn't something she wanted. She didn't want to be cuddled and sweet-talked. She wanted someone who could just be by her side and help her advance forward. She didn't want to be hugged every single second, kissed, or even cuddle in bed. She didn't want to feel too special as a wife. She wanted to feel like she was a grown adult who meant business. Her father wanted a woman who doesn't expect him to give his attention all to her and didn't want to feel like he was loving a child. Luckily enough, the two adults fitted each other's descriptions of who they wanted as lovers. Shortly afterward, they've gotten married. Although they've both agreed on not having any children, Yuna and her sister, Yuuko, eventually came around by accident. Still, they wanted to take responsibility for two of their children and raise them to be one of the best shinobi there is.
Yuna's relationship with Yuuko was very warm. They had a close bond and would always look out for each other. Yuna was born two years before Yuuko, although they do share the same birthday. Yuuko had more innocence and liveliness in her persona while Yuna, being similar to her younger sister, was more mature and quiet. Yuna wasn't so thrilled about having a younger sister. She actually liked being an only child because she believed that she'll get more attention If she were to have a baby brother or sister than her parents would focus on them instead of Yuna. When Yuuko did come around two years later, she actually felt as if she actually had somebody to play with. She also felt a little happy that Yuuko was born, because it basically gave Yuna an opportunity to be a role model and a trendsetter for her little sister.
That was only one of the reasons why Yuna was happy to see Yuuko. The second, and major, reason why she was glad to have a sister was because she wasn't loved as much as a child, alongside side with Yuuko when she was getting older. The only time her parents would ever talk to the two girls was if they needed to eat dinner or go to bed. Other times, they were shooed off. Sometimes, Yuna would overhear her father talking to her mother about how he wished she and Yuuko were never born, and that Yuuko only came around to occupy Yuna. She couldn't help but feel guilty and useless after hearing what her father said. She would sometimes stay in her bed and cry it all out, letting that quote replay over and over in her head. All the times he said that he loved her and her sister was a lie. All the times where he would pick her and her sister up and give them kisses were all an act. It felt like she wasn't with a fatherly figure, but a fatherly figure who wished he never had kids.
Yuna confronted her mother about what her father said. Her mother told her to disregard everything that's been said by her father. Her mother claimed that her father never meant to say that and that he didn't choose his words wisely. She told Yuna that she will always love Yuna and Yuuko for as long as she lives and as the family is still together. To top it all off, Yuna's mother gave her a belief that she once followed as a child: "Always be kind to others, no matter who you're with. Life will pay you back while you pay it kindness and generosity. It's how I got you and Yuuko in my life." In other words, she wanted Yuna to stay positive so life would treat her better. And that's what she and her sister did. During her academy days, the sisters have treated everyone nicely, even to the worst students, and have managed to build a good reputation for themselves. They've managed to make a lot of friends, which ended up making them a little more popular than they were. Just a little is all.
Things went well in the academy until she encountered her father. When Yuna told her father what happened, he sat her down and stared straight into her eyes with a serious look. Yuna wasn't too sure whether or not her father was proud of her or very concerned. Her father told her to listen very closely and pay attention. He told her that this world doesn't have any room for kindness, and that trust is something that shouldn't be dealt with so lightly. All of her "friends" weren't friends, but people that would try to take advantage of her and her sister. They were using her, he would claim. This was something Yuna never thought of. Were all the students in the academy using her? It didn't seem like it, but with that stare her father gave her, it looked like he was serious. Still young and naive, she decided to follow her father's advice. Yuna has taken a more dark twist with her behavior, while Yuuko has kept the same calm and sweet personality. Students began to fear her, and some found themselves expressing hatred towards the girl. Hatred was something she'd never experienced up until that point. This behavior has also followed her home, which her mother took note of. Yuna did, however, showed a lot of respect for her younger sister.
While Yuna and Yuuko graduated from the academy and have become Genin, things didn't go too well with their parents. One night, Yuna's parents got into an argument about her shift of behavior. She went from being an enthusiastic and charming child to a lone wolf who bites those that's in her way. Her father insisted that she has to prepare for the "real world", while her mother believed that no child should act that "evil" as she claimed Yuna's behavior to be. Shouting and yelling continued between the two, until one of them drew out a kunai out to appear threatening and from losing his temper. That one person just so happened to be the mother. Yuna's mother, however, wasn't afraid of meeting death. She even tempted him to kill her. Unfortunately for her, Yuna's father took the bait and stabbed her chest with the kunai, ending her life in a blink of an eye.
All while Yuna watched through the crack of their bedroom door.
Yuna had already prepared a kunai of her own in her hand as she watched the murder of her mother being done by her father. However, she made no reaction whatsoever. Her face stayed blank, not moving a single muscle. All she did was wait by the door was she watched her father stare at his wife's corpse. When he rushed out the door after a few seconds of staring at the corpse, Yuna swiftly thrust her own kunai on her father's thigh, bringing him down to one knee. She then reached into her pocket, pulling out another kunai as she stabbed her father in the stomach. With one more kunai being pulled out, she finished off her act by thrusting the kunai into his head. As the kunai pierced through the skin and pushed in as deeply as it can go, she felt all of her father's weight on the kunai as he fell on the ground. Her father was now dead, with some of his blood on her hands. Her sister slept soundly in bed, while Yuna tried her best to dump her parents' corpses somewhere far from their home and hide the evidence as much as she could. Yuna avenged her mother's death by taking away her father's. The reason why she was able to do so without hesitation was because of what her father said: trust is a delicate issue, and her father was the perfect example of how it was delicate.
The next morning, Yuuko questioned where her parents were. Yuna answered with a short reply: "they're on a trip and will be gone for a while". She hated it when she lied to Yuuko right in front of her face, but it was better than telling her that their mother was killed by their father, or worse, her father was then killed by Yuna. She was grateful that Yuuko was still in her oblivious state, as she believed Yuna. Now that it was just her and Yuuko, Yuna and her sister needed to survive on their own as thirteen-year-olds. A job wasn't going to do for her. Waiting to get paid every week wasn't going to cut it for her. Yuna often took matters into her own hands and would commit murder at night, robbing any money her victims have on them. She would also go as far as to stalk them until they get to their house and find the right timing to kill her prey. Her sister always wondered why her sister sometimes go out alone at night, while Yuna would say she likes to take midnight strolls.
This lifestyle continued until they've reached their Chuunin days. This was where Yuna finally needed to come out clean. She decided to sit Yuuko down and tell her everything that happened, from what their father said and did, to what Yuna had to do. Yuna didn't actually know if their father had any intentions of actually getting his daughters as his next target, but she wasn't going to take that chance. Yuuko, of course, was in shock. She didn't even believe what Yuna was saying. This only lead to Yuuko temporarily ignoring and avoiding Yuna for as long as she could, before she finally showed empathy to her sister. The sisters were able to "reunite" after a few months worth of Yuuko's attempts of avoiding Yuna. They were able to improve their lifestyle by Yuna attempting fewer murders, but she did felt as if it were still necessary anyway.
When Yuna reached 24 and Yuuko reached 22, the sisters have finally ranked up as Elite Jounin, and Yuna was given an opportunity to become an ANBU Captain due to showing remarkable progress of her strength, whereas her sister was given the opportunity to become apart of the ANBU squad. Both sisters gladly taking those positions, they will serve their village to the best of their ability and be sure to live up to their positions.

Kane still continued to walk towards the female. Thoughts and questions were bursting about, as his feet made his path. Finally, he was at least close enough to the woman, but still kept his distance, as always. The electric blue eyes of the Umbra finally had a better view of what the young woman looked liked. Now that Kane had a better view of what this woman looked like, there was just one tiny physical trait that startled Kane for a moment: The eyes.
As Kane made somewhat eye contact with the girl, the color of those eyes are without a doubt, electric blue eyes. All the boy can do was glare into those eyes, as more thoughts were generated into his head. But no, it wasn't possible. Before Kane could jump to any conclusion on the spot, he heard the woman starting to speak, but his eyes were still glued to hers. "How rude of me, then." Kane began his sentence with his raspy, yet deep and husky voice. Still, his tone was a little shaky, since he wasn't really used to talking. The last time he ever talked was an attempt to encounter someone else. And it was indeed a male. But still, there was no sign of fear coming out from him, or regret.
However, Kane still remained his blade out in the open, but rather dragged the blade onto the ground, and throwing it by his side. No matter what, Kane didn't want to lose his guard. "But, that doesn't mean I cannot have my sword out, just in case anything goes wrong, correct?" Kane continued. But still, his attention were directly to the eyes. There was only one thing in mind Kane must know: was this woman an actual Umbra or not? Though, it was a doubt from Kane. The boy hasn't seen a female Umbra for decades. It is actually rare to see any female Umbra walking around. But still, who knows? Kane hasn't spotted any male Umbras for a while either.
"Even though this place is derelict, I do have some personal reasons of my presence here." Kane continued. Though, Kane doesn't need... or want to share out his reason. Although, his lips were muffled by his sweater's neck collar as always, his voice still remained to be loud and clear, but still a bit raspy. Talking again, was something Kane had to get used to, instead of staying rather mysterious and away from the crowd. And to be honest, staying mysterious was Kane's thing.
"However, I would like to ask you the very same question you asked me. What are you doing here in a forsaken area? Probably for a personal reason as well, yes?" He added on. Though, there was another question that Kane really wanted to know: was this female an Umbra, or just any other Yaijuu or Human? Either, he'll just save that for later.
