Description:

The first and most prominently used aspect of the Hitaru clan’s dōjutsu that is able to be used at their whim. Upon a member awakening the aspect they are able to begin sifting through their own memories as well as the memories of others. It is stronger when the person it is being applied to is actually thinking of said events but they can be summoned even without, with a little extra effort on the user’s part. It requires direct eye contact with the person, having to be in the same space as them within a 4ft radius of them. Additionally, the length of time the dōjutsu is able to be used strengthens over the course that one trains it. A freshly awoken ability used on another person may not be able to be held for more than five minutes wherein a honed ability could be used almost indefinitely depending on how hard the person has worked and how long they have had the ability. The dōjutsu does have its drawbacks in that a user can also use the ability on themselves, potentially trapping them in a realm of 'what ifs' and 'maybes.' If a user sees into their own minds for too long, they run the risk of becoming trapped within and never being able to escape.

Drawbacks: Must have direct eye contact with the person, the user can turn the ability inward on themselves potentially trapping themselves within it.
Requirements: Hitaru Bloodline, most often awakens in someone who is a teen or older.
