APPEARANCE
Raika is a tall man of six feet in height weighing in at a hundred and fifty pounds. Raika's skin is extremely tanned from training outside. Scars liter his body due to his missions as a Oinin. Due to his training, Raika is extremely lean and muscular, but not to the point of having overextended muscles or being unhealthily thin. He wears fishnet armor underneath is clothing. Raika wears a jounin flak jacket underneath his overcoat while on missions. His hitai-ate is typically worn around his waist like a belt.
PERSONALITY
Raika desires to protect Konoha, and the people within the wall of the great village. He is a serious person with a friendly demeanor. He puts his duty before most things, only allowing the saving of his friends and subordinates to take precedence of this. Raika has a sadistic side to him when it comes to training people and himself. He wants his subordinates and fellow ninja to succeed, and will do anything to do so. He will never accept anything other than the best from those under him.
In combat, Raika enjoys himself immensely. He knows he needs to take battle seriously and end it fast. But when he sees a strong opponent, Raika takes his time to analyze the fighting style of the opponent and if there is a bounty on the head of his opponent, disables them for transport through non-lethal or lethal means. If he succeeds in suppressing his opponent without killing them, he would apply fuinjutsu upon the body of his prisoner so they cannot escape. If he does kill them, he seals them in a scroll for transport.
Whenever he has time to kill he is writing a novel series.

HISTORY
Raika was born to a couple of Civilians that had traveled to Konoha from a ninja village-less country. They had decided to move to Konoha due to the lack of protection from bandits, and ninja that would not think twice about attacking a defenseless village. They had heard only good things about Konoha. When Raika was born, it was safely within the Wall of Konoha. There he lived a peaceful childhood filled with a desire to become a Ninja like most children. His parents didn't see anything wrong with Raika wanting to become a Ninja, and so registered him into the Academy.
Raika excelled through the Academy, giving his all despite being a civilian and having the disadvantage of not having ninja parents or a clan to help him train. This did not deter him, he did make a lot of friends within the Academy. When he graduated from the Academy, he was placed upon Squad 5. His squad was one of the three to graduate the year that he had graduated.
Raika despised D-ranked missions with a passion. He had more than enough chores at home to do. But he swallowed the pure unadulterated hatred he had for them, and did what he was told. His patience awarded him with a C-ranked bandit extermination mission that went off without a hitch. Throughout his first several months as a Genin, Raika continued to train and grow stronger. After a year of being a Genin, his team was put forward for the Chunin Exams.
The Chunin Exams were held within Suna that year. It was a truly harrowing affair for Raika and his team.
The first exam was Suna taking one genin from each team, and put them through a faux interrogation. The other two were supposed to find the last member and rescue them before the final member gave up the code phrase. Raika and his teammate had arrived in time before the last teammate had divulged the code phrase.
The second exam was the chunin hopefuls were stranded at an oasis, and had to navigate the desert back to Suna. The twist was they had to acquire a scroll that when combined with their own scroll would show them the exact location of Suna. However they were only supposed to open the scrolls after they had both of them. If they did not, a ninja would appear to knock them out. Raika's team barely passed by the skin of their teeth. They arrived in Suna a single minute before the time limit.
There were no preliminaries that year due to only three teams passing. The finals was a free for all between the Konoha, Suna, and Taki teams that had passed the second exam. The Suna team won, but one member from each team were promoted due to their leadership skills. The member of Raika's team that had been promoted was Raika.
Almost immediately after promotion, Raika put in an application to become an Oinin. He wanted to protect the secrets of his home, and he knew that he would have to join one of the departments that the military supported. He didn't want to go on patrols, nor did he want to join the cypher or barrier corps. He desired combat, and the Oinin would be the perfect opportunity for his desire.
He knew that the Patrol Corps, and the others protected his home. But the Oinin experienced regular combat, and he knew if he did well within the Hunter Corps, he'd be able to join the Anbu and protect his home even more. Raika never stopped training to grow stronger, his desire was to protect his home, he desired to become a legend like the previous Hokage. His dream was to see his face carved upon the Hokage monument.
Raika spent six years within the Hunter Corps growing stronger and hunting down missing ninja. It was a grim duty, but Raika performed his best despite the morbidness of what the job entailed. He became a Jounin at the age of nineteen, and had been dismissed from the Hunter Corps, so he could become a regular Jounin. This was right before his twentieth birthday. His first duty as a Jounin was to train a team of Genin. He had accepted this duty immediately. It was a single month before the graduation of the next Genin recruits. Raika had spent the time devising a training and mission schedule.

Raika stood before his home with his Oinin mask in hand. It was his first mission as a Oinin. He was to track down a rogue jounin with a squad of three others, take the jounin's head and erase the rest of the jounin. Putting the mask of black and white swirls on, the man turned and jumped forward. Any and all reservations were lost as soon as he put on the mask. He still felt anxiety but that was due to fighting against a jounin, while still a chuunin level ninja.
The pace set was relaxing, and Raika thought about what he could do during his free time aside from training. 'Maybe I should write down my adventures as long as they aren't classified. Maybe a more adult take on some things,' he thought to himself while grinning under his mask. It was a brilliant idea and would support him should he ever tire of being a Shinobi before he achieved his dreams. But the teen was stubborn, too stubborn to give up his dreams out of boredom. Maybe a crippling injury would've been the better term for retirement. While the team traveled, Raika was completely silent. He was deep in thought about what the potential first book could be about. He decided right then and there, that the first novel would be this mission, only with more flare to it.
