The Uchiha clan is reputed to be the village's strongest because of their Sharingan and natural battle prowess. They have a special affinity with the katon element, as many clansmen are born with it. Their Sharingan users are known to create literal nightmares with genjutsu, making them terrifying opponents.


HYUUGA CLAN | Bloodline Ability: Byakugan

The Hyuuga are well renowned for their close-range fighting style that targets chakra points in their targets, enabling them to quickly cripple or kill without leaving a mark on the skin. Their bloodline ability is a doujutsu called the Byakugan--it grants nearly 360 degree vision and allows clansmen with the gift to both see and target chakra or other constructs beyond what normal humans can see.

Likely as old and wisened as the trees themselves that cover Fire Country, the Senju help make up the bedrock of Konoha and are known for their gift of Wood Release (Mokuton), which allows them to create and manipulate various wooden constructs, trees, and vines.

NOUYOU CLAN | Bloodline Ability: Futton > Boil Release

The Nouyou clan's kekkei genkai is Boil Release (Futton), which combines fire and water chakras to create a powerful corrosive vapor (to varying acidity and scale) that's capable of melting just about anything. Not only is it dangerous to be near, but as a gaseous attack it can cover a considerable range in short time, be maneuvered through smaller spaces, and can linger in the air to potentially deal continuous damage to foes.


HOZUKI CLAN | Hiden Ability: Hydrification Technique

The Hozuki are born with the ability to turn themselves into water either partially or fully. Their hydrification techniques are taught only within the clan. They can manipulate their water bodies to allow attacks to pass through them unharmed, to move through small areas, or to help blend in with nearby water.


KAGUYA CLAN | Bloodline Ability: Shikotsumyaku

The Kaguya clan are descendants of Kaguya Ootsutsuki, and some possess the kekkei genkai Shikotsumyaku from Kaguya's original bone-manipulating ability. This ability allows them to manipulate and accelerate their bodies' bone growth and structure at will, allowing them to rapidly attack and defense using especially durable bone constructs: blades, shields, projectiles, etc.

The Yuki clan is, on rare occasion, born with one gifted with their kekkei genkai: the ability to create and manipulate ice. This is done through combining suiton and fuuton (water and wind) to make an infinite array of ice constructs--anything from needles to blades to even the demonic ice mirrors feared by many.

SHIROGANE CLAN | Hiden Ability: Advanced Puppetcraft

While the Shirogane clan has not had an extensive track record of especially skilled ninja, they do boast an extreme specialty in crafting puppets and dolls of varying kinds. Some use these for artistry, others for combat. The Shirogane's work is as complex as it is beautiful. If you're looking for puppet masters, they're it.


YOUGAN CLAN | Bloodline Ability: Shakuton > Scorch Release

The Yougan's kekkei genkai is Scorch Release. This nature creates chakra that is capable of heating up an enemy to the point where all the liquid inside their body evaporates, killing the victim and leaving them a desiccated corpse. There are, of course, other applications to extreme heat generation.


SUGAWARA CLAN | Bloodline Ability: Jiton > Magnet Release

The Sugawara clan is able to manipulate a variety of metallic sands to their whim: iron, gold, steel, etc, using created magnetic fields born from the union of doton (earth) and fuuton (wind) chakras. Those who manipulate metal sands can use them for travel, easing movement, protective armor, or powerful ranged attacks.

FUUNJIN CLAN | Bloodline Ability: Jinton > Dust Release

The Fuunjin are older than Iwagakure itself and have been around for ages. Their specialty is Dust Release: the ability to form geometric shapes with special chakra (a combination of fire, wind, and earth chakras) that they can then unleash toward enemies. These shapes will disintegrate anything they pass through a molecular level (turning them to "dust" in a way). While powerful, clan members with this kekkei genkai are easily hindered by interference with the precise hand movements needed to form and manipulate their techniques.


KAMIZURU CLAN | Hiden Ability: Bee & Wasp Summoning

The Kamizuru are able to summon mass swarms of bees and wasps of varying species using a special clan-taught hand seal. While in the ancient past they were once thought inferior to the Aburame of Fire Country, the Kamizuru have grown in number and have only increased their skill in combat with their small winged friends.


KYUUZOU CLAN | Bloodline Ability: Bakuton > Explosion Release

Many in this clan are born with its kekkei genkai, Bakuton. This allows them to create explosions by infusing their chakra (a combination of lightning and earth) into their attacks or into objects. The explosions triggered will vary greatly depending on the skill of the individual.
